I think Arslan's defence and general playstyle forces him to slow down, it looked like he tried to go for his aggressive playstyles a couple of times, but against that defence...
@@trashboat4731its not because of better play its because nina is just uncommon character they cant see what she will do next she just hits with fingers and do weird movement. Kazuya or Jin does basic movements you can see it coming. Woman characters are just to jolly they di hit with anything

To the people saying that Devilster didn't do very well, It's literally his first tournament and playing offline, especially in a tournament setting is VASTLY different than playing online. It can be very nerve racking going into a tourney for your first time, especially a HUUUGE tournament with international players. I imagine the pressure is very real, and Devilster handled it like a player that will be a champion when the time comes, and it will come. Devilster's performance in this tournament has inspired me to play more Jin, even though I'm a full blown Kazuya main now.
i didn't know this was your first tournament and that was actually good fight for a first-timer in tourna, u put a good fight on the strongest tekken player, don't worry future champ, u got it next tourna! love from philippines

Unlucky Devilster! I know it is Arslan but it seems nerves really got to you in these matches as you played very differently and too cautious compared to your normal style. Of course you are much better player than me and do better vs Arslan than I could but some good takeaways from this match and match with Knee: - Stop using d2 after opponent proven reaction unless hard read - Use more d4 df1 df3 f4 b3(2) b12 hit confirm; nerves make default to 21, db4 and divekick - Less reliance on divekick since it gets floated too much vs top players - More hellsweep in neutral - Stop using ff31 extension after opponent ducks (Arslan did at very first interaction) Inspiration for us to reach even higher levels! Wish all the best thank you for content and I hope you will overcome these players eventually! Peace
As a person, you have positive energy. what I believed your opponent completely aware of your playing style. That's just the beginning and best of luck. What I notice, Arsalan keeps changing it's character for the tournament that gives it's opponent a whole new experience and it give him a edge because opponent don't know his playing style.

Really solid performance. It’s tough going to offline events, and it’s even tougher playing your best when you’ve got pressure, but you were doing good. The only thing is that you didn’t know when to take your foot off the gas, and Arslan recognized that after the first two rounds. You beat his ass next time though, Dw >;)
Good job, man. Your first tournament, you were nervous and we didn't see even 50℅ of your power, it's normal. Keep fighting and going up, we believe in you.
Man, bums me out you lose, i do notice you're not playing as usual, but understandable given this is a tourney and you're fighting legends, cheers to you man, still believe you have the talent to go far!
Idk man something feels like Devilister was holding back against Arslan. But we really saw him open up against kwiss which is very good but devilister forget one thing at that moment that against Hwoarang, one needs to be defensive, seeing an opening and capitalizing your punishes is the key. I Hope one day we'll see you give your best at these king of tournaments just like you inspire us with your ranked matches❤
I don't think you deserve criticism in your first in-person tournament. What you need is the encouragement to continue in those types of tournaments, you are good, but you can be better. We will look forward to your next participation.
Yeap, I honestly think he did well for his tournament especially for game 1 first round. The combo was sick and hopefully we get to see Devilster jin pro scene on next tournament.
