REally like these older movies!
This program was shot outside. It offers some incredible views of 1950s California
Major respect to Louis Hayward, decorated WW2 MARINE, married to the legendary Ida Lupino. Wow.
Ida Lupino was said to have divorced Louis Hayward because he wasn't the same man when he returned from the war. He worked on filming war on the Pacific front. Very horrible battles seeing what inhumanities Man could be capable of. ❤Uis probably was exhibiting PTS. Have had a crush on him since I saw him in the first Saint film.
Hayward was in charge of filming the invasion of the Japanese-held island of Tarawa: the heavy fighting and high losses affected him long afterwards, it's been said.

Wow!! After watching the insane violence of Chicago PD, Lon Wolf is positively refreshing. Good plot, good acting, great scenery!
Amazing these old movies in bnw screen thanks to classic TV channel !!!!
yes, old LA was an artier place than most people assume.
Excellent show. 😃
Wowsers! That was really good! 😃
Best show ever! By the way, that's a cute watermark. Are you the copyright holder?
My my my, but the wife is, shall we say, FETCHING. 😃
Very tame Louis Hayward very different from the bravado-like LH in his earlier pictures. Looks like a man deeply changed by the war as Ida Lupino says he was. Enjoyed it nevertheless. Thx for posting.
MCA-TV later distributed the series. Their logo covered up the original final credits at 25:55-

Another (although well done) imitation of The Saint. The Saint movies also spawned movies of a character called The Falcon. They finally did a Saint TV series in the 1960s but years later when they rebooted it with a different actor it wasn't successful, and the modern Val Kilmer movie had nothing to with with the character beyond the name.
I thought the V.O. made it more like a Raymond Chandler or even Dragnet,. Incidentally, I thought Roger Moore was perfect in "The Saint."
Marjorie Lord, the wife.
These people are Extremely Boring.
Strange. Way beneath Hayward.
Well, he may have become a different actor after the war reading the comments on how affected he was by it.
