It also increased the standard deduction, which lowered taxable income for the middle and lower class. If SALT isn't extended or revised, our taxes automatically increase in for 2026.

SALT benefits those in high tax blue states where RE taxes and state income taxes are high.
AS well as no tax on tips, no tax on social security etc. This helps working people and those who live on Social security that are being hurt by inflation the most.
It also increased the standard deduction, which lowered taxable income for the middle and lower class. If SALT isn't extended or revised, our taxes automatically increase in for 2026.
