    Note: the Tabs don't show the B note transition from the repeat 8 times phrase to the C arpeggio. I got thrown because I first just practice tabs and learn the rhythm after I learn the notes.

    Such a beautiful song! I've always really liked it, but I never had the appreciation for it, until I tried to learn it. It's like hearing a great song for the first time, if that makes any sense, lol!!☮❤☮

    so nice to see this, had to make sure you hear it! as expected, such a pleasure to get a real personal lesson. Getting the licks is so key for someone to learn, not just the strum, and learning those walkdowns is so important. Keith and Gram really blew this one out of the water and created such a great country blues! thanks!!

      On Yaya's Mick Taylor played the Slide in Open G. Keith played this in std but he has a bunch of guitars in different tunings . He plays Brown sugar , Tumbling Dice , Can't you hear me knocking , HonkyTonk Women ,, Start Me up and a ton of others in open G

      @@247GuitarwithHowardHart BTW it appears that you do not play the B note on the 5th string when playing the G chord (in this song). Do you mute it with your G note finger or just avoid it? I am not that good with pick control so I will have to mute it myself.

    • @247GuitarwithHowardHart
      @247GuitarwithHowardHart  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah... You just skip the 5th string when picking thru the G chord :-)

      @@247GuitarwithHowardHart Well I finally got back on this one after a long hiatus and am now in the process of locking it down. It is deceptively complex. Not really difficult to play the individual passages at all but not easy to commit the entire structure/sequence to memory. Or is that just me?

    Howard, most people play this song with a capo on the third fret. Was the live version played in a different key than the studio version? I am just loving your Stones tutorials. While you are on the Stone's theme, I would like to make a request for Monkey Man and Midnight Rambler both versions from the live Get Yer Ya Ya's Out album. The live version of Midnight Rambler for me is the definitive version from the Stones. Cheers!👍👍

      Great choices. Great songs IMO. I'd like to learn the intro to Angie myself, 50 yrs & still can't get it right.

      I agree with the live version of Midnight Rambler... They just rocked it out. And yes, the LET IT BLEED acoustic version is with a capo - but the live version is without, and in standard tuning... Go figure :-)

    Love The Stones stuff! Any chance of doing Country Honk? Some really good acoustic by Keith on that. I've been trying to get it for years. I can get bits and pieces of it but can't seem to put it all together.

    How about the original by Robert Johnson?(another attempt by Robert to try to do it like Lonnie Johnson [The GOAT IMO]
    Just a suggestion, if you could figure out Lonnie Johnson "Blues In G"(yes that's where I got it from, but my name starts with G as well. Trust me it was my 2nd choice, for a name, blame ASCAP, for not giving me my first choice 👌😉😊)
