This island has not had a storm like this in 20 years the last time a hurricane formed in the of June was 1966. This hurricane also went from a tropical storm to a category five in 48 hours which is unprecedented

Exactly! The Caribbean geographical location makes it prone to hurricanes/storms so people should learn to build and live to these occurrences and stop trying to change the environment, it's that simple.

I was in Grenada many years ago. Very nice island. Not very affluent though. Recovery will be tough. I feel bad for the people.
We recovered record breakingly well when Hurricane Ivan devastated us in 2004 I trust we will recover record breaking again
