Moorgumpin - place of sandhills how lucky the Original people of the island must have been to live in such paradise, best way to see the island via fat bike !
Hey Joel, the inland trails are fatbike territory - one or two could be partially ridden on a CX, but you would have to walk many km on loose sandy trails to the start and from the finish back to where you started - and that would be carrying the CX bike! Beach could be ridden at low tide on an MTB, but seriously use the the right tool for the job (fatbike) and go where you want with no limits. Troy.
Getting there is easy, I've mapped out half day loops, full day loops, weekends and weeklong epics. Go for it! Msg me if you want route tips, check out my blog for trip reports too.
That last scene pushing up the hill was on the Telegraph track, then at the base of the stairs, I ditched the bike behind some scrub and walked to the summit. The bike still cut out a lot of walking...

Inspiring enough to follow your tacks on a purple pug.
Hey Neil, you'll open up a whole raft of new riding opportunities on a fatty. I'm working on my Alaskan vid next...

Sure is Craig, to see so much sand missing from the north and west is sad, exposed coffee rock and downed trees.

Troy, reckon these trails would be suitable for a cyclocross bike?
you could ride over a croc on that thing.
