I had to service my MT09 fuel pump and this was very helpful since I was doing it for the first time and since its literally the same, it was smooth sailing thanks to you
I did but only to make it easier to lift really. Once you take it off the bike you could sit it on it's nose and it'll hold a few litres as long as the level isn't as high as the fuel cap. I used a syphon tube with a 1-way ball valve in it that saves sucking the fuel out with your mouth.
Good question, there's a problem with my pump where fuel will drain out completely if I don't block it, which shouldn't be if the check valve is working.
