I don't have Netflix, but I am repeatedly suggesting IWTV to anyone who'll listen to watch it. Unfortunately, it's close to our (U.S.) election and again there is a lot of anti-woke sentiment being spread around right now. So the homophobia and veiled racism is at another peak. Poor show just can't catch a break with its' timing! But usually when I inform people it's made by the same guys who created 'Breaking Bad', they give it a shot and watch the first episode. And we all know how good that first episode is.
Only season 1 is available on Netflix. Usually Netflix only releases seasons from shows of other networks a year after their released on their original network. Meaning season 2 won't be available until some time next spring/summer at the earliest. And as far as I know, Netflix only drops episodes all at one time. They don't do scheduled viewing.
So glad that you advertise this incredible series. I hope people is going to massively watch it. I just re-watched recently the 1994 movie. Although I liked it at that time now it appears so superficial comparing to the series. Wait for your reaction.
Easiest way to put it: Seasons 1 & 2 are the first book "Interview With the Vampire". Or, Seasons 1 & 2 are the IWTV movie. Book/movie/TV show all pretty much end up with modern day Louis visiting Lestat who's living "shabby chic" in New Orleans. What will they do with Louis now, since he doesn't have much to do in the 2nd & 3rd books, "The Vampire Lestat" and "Queen of the Damned"? They solved the "no Lestat" problem in the last half of Interview's storyline by creating Ghost Lestat and filling in some of his 18th century history with his first depressed, half-crazed boyfriend Nicky (Lestat does have a type), and Armand (always a conniving Gremlin). Enjoying the updates, Will.
I tried to get into this show, but could not. I am a big fan of the books and just couldn't watch. it's not doing well. It wouldn't be coming to Netflix if it was making money for AMC.
it's one of amc's top shows though? low ratings for season 1 were because of racism and homophobia. It's been critically acclaimed since its release, a netflix move is a sign it's getting MORE popular surely? the fandom has kinda exploded in size since s2 ep5, we have a s3 renewal and the showrunner has a 7 season plan that he was ASKED to develop before s1 was even produced.
We get that you personally don't like the show. You're a book purist, that's understandable. But don't spread false assumptions to try to dissuade others from watching it. AMC is very happy with 'The Immortal Universe'. So much so that they kept the first season of IWTV to themselves mostly for more than 2 years. Lastly, if you dislike the show, then why do you bother with these updates on it? Is it just to piss on everyone's parade?
Have you seen the show? Will you be watching it on Netflix?

Thank you for making a video about this magnificent show!
I hope they will post season 3 on it too but also keep the weekly format instead of binge watch.

I hope a lot of new people get to watch the show! It’s so good, it could use more publicity

@@7n154 Oh look, someone's mad that a person doesn't like what they like.
@@ins1981Lest I'm just speaking from reason. You are entitled to your reason. I concede. Armand would be proud of your devotion. Easy.
