Starting with a complete finished and functioning vehicle and changing up parts is a completely different beast than starting with a bare cab and frame. Having a game plan and sorting things out as you go increases your chances of success, that way you're only sorting out small issues as you go rather than one big nightmare.
BTW, when it comes to electrical and wiring, having the proper wiring schematics is kinda critical to making things work right, so don't lose instructions to parts. 😉
Just like bolting up the cooling fans in place add one such as a Hi-mount Led brake light/Cargo light should be installed and wiring sorted, that way as you install the chassis harness it's just a matter of adding in the feeds.
Our strategy is to start with taking care of add one like that, then sort out building the engine harness, towards end of the engine harness leads off the chassis harness will be added in, then finally sorting out and routing the chassis harness.
The new LED Hi-mount brake/Cargo lamp is a pretty cool piece, but it means accommodating its circuit needs, so it's not exactly as easy as plug and play, plus we ended up having to sort out functionality of both circuits.
It's a bit longer of a video and I could have shortened it up, but I wanted to show the trouble shooting process. People often only show the victories, and not when things didn't go as planned.
Taking on a major project like this is something most people don't do on the daily, so it takes some time to get into the groove and sort things out, just be patient, you'll get there.
