I followed this exactly but when I start it the container random stops and says Unable to add zim to the internal libraray :(
Try the small Ray Charles zim file and let me know if you get the same error.

I put the smaller Ray Charles .zim file in my /Data/Wiki folder on my File Station, same message in docker log. Unable to add the ZIM file '*.zim' to the internala library. Here is the content of /data: and it's blank from there. Is the path mounted wrong?

I have set up the docker and added my zim file in the data folder. When I run the contained, though, the ram shoots up to 10gb and keeps rising without even accessing the container. I have to turn it off because I'm afraid it will use all the ram and the synology will become unresponsive. Any ideas on why this is happening?
I would see if the Ray Charles zim file works without the RAM going up. If it works, the zim file may be the problem. You can also try different versions of the Kiwix server when you download it in Docker. You could try older versions or the dev version. Those are two things to check.
What is the ultimate purpose to host a wikipedia in docker?
It gives a person offline access to wikipedia. For instance, our internet was going slow the other day so I was able to use an offline version of wikipedia a lot faster. It can also be used at a school to provide fast access to wikipedia. The school could download a new version every few months and they can download it at night or during the weekend. The state where I live has many rural homes with limited internet. A person could download this at a library for instance and install it at their home.

Any luck finding an updated means of getting this to work? I've tried a few images in Container Manager, but all of which have very little instructions on how to get working.
Mine is still running, even after the change over to Container Manager. What is the specific error you are receiving?
