Man do I have a similar story: right before Katrina, my parents bought a foreclosure that looked like some of these houses or worse. In the roof, the house being covered with a wood exterior, there was a large bees nest that had probably been there a year or so if I had to guess. Long story short, I think they pulled 100ish pounds of honey out of it.
Here’s one more from a few years ago for you also with bees: I was mowing my parents’ lawn (different house than previous story) but the fuel tank was low and I didn’t have any fuel in the shed so I was hoping to get as much done as I could. Eventually the mower ran out of fuel, so I sat on the mower to think about what to do since I wouldn’t have access to a truck to go get fuel for a few more hours. As I’m sitting there I look down and there’s a bee sitting on me, and then another flew past my field of view when I realized they’re bees. I jumped up and got away from the area only to see a bunch more showed up. Turns out the mower ran out of gas right next to an active underground bees nest. Thankfully I didn’t get stung.

Oh my god Gray, I had 50 racoons in my attic... you read that right... 50 freakin' racoons. They got in from an industrial vent (my grandfather was an engineer and loved overpowering things). They literally jammed sticks and other random debris in the fan blades to stop it from spinning... so this was planned vandalism. They KNEW they were going to get in and make my attic their home. Needless to say this was unsanitary and the town deemed our house uninhabitable after all was said and done. The story goes on a bit longer than this but in the end we had to demolish our house. You can say you were lucky now Gray but i'm sure your town isn't nearly as strict as ours. Cheers!

It’s amazing how fast a human can move when a swarm of bees charges.
One evening, a friend and I thought it would be fun to go wading in a shallow stream out in the fields. The enormous swarms of mosquitos went after us like piranhas after a juicy chicken. For some dumb reason, we didn’t give up right away. When we realized we could hardly see our own legs through the mass of feasting mosquito legs...we sounded the retreat. But we had a lovely marble texture to our skin to help us get the “point.”

well this is not a pest problem but once we had two gerbils and one of the gerbils disappeared..I always heard nibbling in the night I thought I was insane so I check the drawer with the gerbil food and there he was nibbling on food for three days straight.
Chang won't be complaining when he can't find a remote.
Whenever it rains really hard and we have our front porch light on, we could get up to a hundred tree frogs just sitting on our porch (at night, they only seem to come at night) and they would just eat all the bugs. We are totally okay with it because we love the little guys but occasionally we do get ourselves a spade-foot toad every once in a while, which is also always fun to see.
Gray! You missed a strip of yellow paint. You are the reason I had to explain what house flipper was to my mother. Imagine how weird it is to hear your teenage daughter yelling about yellow paint at 6pm.
This may be the second time for this story, but it is still just as entertaining as the first time.

Hey Gray, as a man who also has a spare dozen or so computer cases sitting on shelves in a back room I can tell you this, you should never judge a computer based on how boring and dull the case looks. I personally like to buy or just take (people just give them away sometimes) old HP/Dell/IBM/Sony/Acer/Gateway/etc cases and turn them into sleeping monsters. I build computers as a hobby, similar to how you use to do landscaping, minus the honeycombs. XD

Story of all the animals that lived in our attic
In our attic we had 2 birds nest, 1 giant wasp hive, and a bunch of rodents that lived in our attic at the same time. I think there was also a bees hive also but yes we called someone to help us and they got rid of all the animals and when they were taking care of the wasp nest they acted quickly and stuck it in a trash bag and closed it and when they were leaving they turned to me, my older brother, pregnant mother, and father and said “hey watch this” and shakes the wasp nest in our house THE WASPS WERE PISSED AND THEY WERE PROBABLY CURSING US IN WASP TALK so when you shook it they all became really loud and sounded like maracas

Here's one. I was going for a swim in my friends pool. We didn't notice there was a wasps nest on the other side of the pool, under the rail. Went over there, swimming along, just minding my own business and got stung repeatedly by the small swarm of wasps. Only way to stop the stinging was diving underwater. After getting out and donning clothes, did me and my friend remove the wasps by spraying two whole cans of raid insect killer and a can of WD-40. Always check your surroundings for any tiny black and yellow visitors that fly, and have stingers.

Dude you're bee story is TERRIFYING I've been stung like 6 times, 4 in the neck, 1 time on the arm and once in a very uncomfortable place, I now have a fear of bees, irrational? Maybe, but they legitimately freak me out!

Unless they have permission to use the company's name (company wants revenue pretty much 100% of the time), it's not legal to use it. Which is why you see alot of "Somsang" "iPear" etc, since it basically avoids the dmca claims.

There is a wasp colony that for the last 7 years decides to set their nest 2 meters away from our front door. it was removed multiple times and they are always back in summer anyway.

When I was a younger man, I dabbled in some fabrication work. Thusly, I had a number of tools in my basement. I went into my basement to fetch something to work on my car and came face to face with a spider the size of my fist hanging out on the wall.
Having dealt with centipedes before thanks to spiders, I knew this beast had to die. But I knew I didn't want to splat it because the mess would have been gnarly. So I very carefully reached for my blowtorch, lit it up and burned the spider right into the concrete wall. It fell to the floor and I kept it torched until it stopped moving.
I didn't have any spider problems for months after that. I do not advise doing this against any wall or floor that is not bare concrete lest you light your house on fire like an idiot. But there's something satisfying about burning a spider that big with a blowtorch.
My story of a close call with nature happened about 28 years ago, I am 55 and at the time was around 25-27 years of age. One fine fall day I was sitting in a 12 foot tall ladder stand hunting Wiley white tail deer during archery season in southern Michigan when across a small field I spotted three deer, a mother and her 2 young. As I will not shoot in that situation I thought it was going to be a nice time watching the deer, they slowly got closer to me when there was a noise much like something large flapping big wings! the deer also heard it so were on full alert, and as I slowly turned my head to the side I was looking eye to eye with a very large Red Tailed Hawk at a distance of about 5 feet and nothing but air between me and sharp meat ripping beak and talons! About this time the deer decided that maybe the fact that the big bush growing on the side of that tree being nervous was good reason for them to wander off. So there we are, just staring at each other, well sir I think that bird found Jesus right then and there and decided to be merciful and in an amazing feat of flying almost noiselessly flew off. It was an utterly amazing experience and yet also pretty darn scary. That is one of my tales of close calls with wildlife.

One time we had a flowerbed about the size of a small sized car, we didnt notice the growing population of bees we had to literally had to use a shovel to get ride of the amout of honeycomb... there was apparently at least 114 pounds of honeycomb...
For a while I was convinced I had seen the video already due to the bee story but there were a few differences that I took note of.
