    13:52 he played tricky. Although, Im not sure how smart is to check turn back when ahead on that board (??).

    15:10 That is amazing?! SPOOKY!
    1) 3 sets of 7s
    2) on the flop
    3) in the same session, of which
    4) 2 of them cracked by straights
    5) against the same player and
    6) on the turn???

    Hey Travis. Like the vlog man. One thing I notice about a detail in your game that I also struggle with is flipping over my cards right away after a hand regardless of my position. You do this too. And then these cats that play all these crazy hand before you, Mr 84o just muck their cards and we are missing out on valuable information. I have been working on waiting my turn to flip my cards in order so the LAGs before me have to show first. It’s not my instinctual action, but it’s been helpful and looks like you do the same. Just an fyi I noticed on your vlog

    I watched your initial video and then didn't comment but I'll throw some comments out there I've been playing winning poker a long time... I think the other commenters who went over all the hands did a pretty good job of telling you some of the mistakes what I'll tell you is this when people bet one-third to one-half size bet on the river most of the time they have a pretty good hand and you called a few times where I would have folded also you can't check trips when you flop trips.. remember when you're ahead you need to get as much money in the pot as you can even if the board is coordinated so what you still can fill up you have a monster get some money in there and lastly I think you're a bit passive and you need to think about your position a little bit more position is more important than your cards... when you're out of position you must protect your hands especially preflop like with the 77 Etc also try not to limp it's weak poker.. only play the top 15 hands in early position and when you're on the button or next to the button you can raise with 40 to 50% of all your hands that's winning poker. I'll continue to watch you hear from me again😅

    • @TravisHallPoker
      @TravisHallPoker  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is awesome, thank you for watching a few of my videos!!
      I actually agree with everything you said here. Can’t be checking sets unless MAYBE you have the intention to check-raise. Or if you have top set on a very dry board. Also agree with the bet sizing on the river. Learning a lot as I go. Thank you for watching and giving some solid feedback 👍🏼

    • @Edward-xd1td
      @Edward-xd1td ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TravisHallPokerI mean if someone raises preflop and they're pretty aggressive and I swapped trips and I'm out of position of course then I'll check cuz I know they're going to bet 90% of the time that's different but in general you definitely want to get some money in there so you either do it by check raising if you think they'll bet or just don'k betting

    Good afternoon Travis… I’m looking to play poker for a living. I usually play low stakes poker usually tourney’s. How much should my bankroll be at least to get started? Also would I have to convert from tourneys to cash games? Look forward to hearing back from you

    • @TravisHallPoker
      @TravisHallPoker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there Mike! Appreciate you watching and reaching out. I am definitely not an expert on what bankroll would be required, because I am so new at this. I personally am over bankrolled for the stakes I play, and have my bills set very low for this new change in my life. However I have heard for tournament pros, you want at least 50 buy ins MINIMUM for the tournaments you will be consistently playing. But the more, the better!
      Wish you the very best on your journey my friend!! 🙌🏼

    Heyhey, had some free time and wanted to write some stuff regarding your hands. Overall your prob one of the better players there but still think you can improve your thinking here and there. Hopefully its helpfull. GLGL :)
    QQ - 75 into 90 is kinda huge exsp multiway (mw your sizings go down) you want them to continue all their AXo with a heart for example, all the pockets etc. Id go max 25-50% and check some queens w queen hearts (but prob kinda whatever and bet them aswell). After blasting flop your on turn and cant rly bet again cz villain is condensed to a fkn strong range tho. River id just block for a smaller size (think they might even fold some weaker pockets/Ax vs your huge flop cb).
    KQcc - turnsizing on the bigger site multiway but prob kinda okish. Id still size a bit down. River nothing we can do :D
    QJcc 4way on T77cc - theres no prob to XC or delay your cb here. You hate your life once you get raised here with your hand. But bet def fine overall. I prob priorize a hand w a single club r smt (like KQo) cz once i bet into three i can comfortably fold it to a raise :)
    J7dd - like it
    2nd KQcc - now you have a better toppair as in the previous KQcc (cz so many draws out there) and size like the same than before which is kinda odd. First KQ def less worth as this hand. You can easily add up some bucks here to smt like 35.
    AQo - small bet def fine but straddle just connects so well here i mostly go for the freecard on turn (betting mostly w a Club in hand).
    77 - easy raise w 77 pre (call is fine tho but 77 is pretty strong to raise). Flop is like a pure bet. Never check middle or buttom set in this spots exsp if you are IP and end the action! Pot is max small and you rly want to let it grow! River id even overbet cz he has so many TP/2p combs here.
    2nd 77 - whhyyyy limp nooo! Btw he isnt sizing up. Flop was potbet and turn is like 80%. River is just an easy fold if club connects. You have to think like "is he rly bluffing on a flushcompleting river" - looks like an underbluffed spot imo.
    AQcc - pre/flop/turn kinda standart. River id go for a even smaller blocksize or a bigger size once i know he calls too much. Bad played by villain tho and lost the min :P
    3rd 77 - finallllly we raised wpwp! Rly like the rangeX on this Boards. But this texture with our hand is just an eeeeasy XR spot to smt like 100 bucks - let him pay his draws! Call is rlllly bad tho. But as played id call it down aswell this time (without a possible and completing flush).
    QJhh - flop kinda standart. Turn isnt that nice to barrel huge. Once you get XR you hate your life and overall you simply dont have 3 steets of value if you dont hit the flush/trips/2p on river atleast theorywise. Live you prob can easily go for three steeets but its not that a clear bet as you are saying. But I like the sizing on turn tho.
    On river the cards switch to KT6 instead of JT6? Which was the "real" board?
    If its JT669 you kinda can go for a third street of value (cz you were betting flop and turn kinda mediocre and only loose to better 2p). If its KT669 its a mandatory big or overbet

      Were you talking about QQ at 1:39? Hero called the 75 on the flop. He didn't cbet. That said, I agree. I'd cbet about 25. I wouldn't give fd or Ax a chance to draw for free.

    The best player's in the world can't do anything about donkeys who find their way to the flop with 86o in a raised pot. These are the players we want in the game but man, it's frustrating when they hit.

    KQcc: Your PFR size is nowhere near big enough. IP it should be at least 75. Straddle makes the bb equivalent to 10, so the bet should be around 30 plus the limpers.
    77 hands: Don't limp pre. Don't check flop, unless your plan is to check-raise, which means almost never from the BU. You definitely want to bet your set when it's multiway and there are a bunch of draws possible, and you definitely want to raise if someone bets after you. These hands show why, in low limit cash, you should rarely slow-play.

    Lol, not much you did wrong, though some river calls were suspect. Catching 3 sets on the flop with pp 7's is rediculous, only thing more rediculous is your opponent catching a straight on the flop, and another one on the turn.

    OK. I have watched your first three vlogs. Not saying I am right, but it seems your biggest issue right now is you hardly ever c-bet. You need to get more agressive. Also, as you have stated many times when you bet, you usually do not bet enough to get folds. And one last thing; I think you need to get in many more hours to make up for your forgone income (unless you have a massive life roll you failed to mention). Anyway, good luck on you poker endeavours!

    • @TravisHallPoker
