I thought Boling was treated a bit caustically by a lot of track fans last year. A lot of negativity directed at him. Stuff like he’ll never improve. This year it started to look to me like Boling had lost his edge, but not in this race. Instead of trying to pound his way around the track and win by sheer strength, he actually just ran. His form wasn’t perfect, but his energy was moving him forward instead of hitting the track like a jackhammer. I think it might do him a lot of good to go train with Jacobs in Italy for a while.

look, i get so tired of hearing in the comments, oh it's the end of the race and they should all just relax, just smile instead of grit, don't drive your arms and legs, just let them be, nice and rubber like. Maybe mathew should carry an ottoman backpack and kick his legs up, im sure he's real tired after a long season. THIS is a real race, when someone is behind and they try as hard as they can to do something faster or stronger, its impossible to just go take a nap and relax. You'll see it womens vollyball, polevault, auto racing, any lifting competitions, the list is endless. You see the runners who relax at the end, you know it because the last 10 meters they just take shorter strides, usually smille, look at the time clock or crowd, start winding down before the finish, they usually are the winners of the race by a long shot, thats not the case here. You hear relax a lot when runners don't tense up when running 26 miles in a marathon or the 400, down the backstretch....not at the finish line of a full on sprint race. If you were his coach and said, hey Matt great job, you won, but next time when they are ahead like that, near the end of the track, I just want you to relax your whole body, let your shoulders down, close your eyes a bit and think about puppies sleeping on a pilllow, while sitting in a massage chair at the mall eating a big Aunty Annnes pretzel.

When you race athletes that are within a few tenths of each other on an indoor track; Mondo designed; you do not have a fair event. The athletes in the 2 inside lanes lose transfer speed from the final curve down the finishing straight. It is physics. Watch each heat with the top sprinters. When they come off the final curve lanes 5 & 6 pull away, with lane 6 usually winning. Lane 3 is usually last. Every time. They have to eliminate the 200 from championship meets. Centrifugal and centripetal forces have too much influence on sprinters running in lanes 3&4 as they have to overcome the negative forces of the tighter turns, and, physics says “no way”.

  • @galkanftw

I've watched a few vids claiming you cannot improve that much in such a short time unless of course you were under achieving in every single race prior "I doubt it".He definitely has the build skinny streamline tall but doesn't really seem to have the stride none the less i doubt many of these sprinters are clean likely none of the top 20.

  • @galkanftw

After i witnessed the unbelievable the Italy Sprinter not even be tested for the Olympics and goes on to win the gold i have to wonder if the testing is any good at all even when they do tests.
His numbers also dropped off from HS to collegiate which again seems VERY odd but would assume no testing in HS but SOME testing in the collegiate system.
It is truly sad that this is the world we live in there is every reason to cheat because that means fame and money and the risk factor seems to be near zero because VERY few are ever caught.
