Nah imagine if they made Tai Lung the dragon warrior. Would it destroy the canon? I mean it would've been hella interesting. Tai Lung who has fought tooth and nail since his childhood to become the dragon warrior, finally gets his wish. Thus his character becoming complete despite it technically being concluded 15-16 years ago as a villain.
Or even better, imagine if he made a peace with Po and Po asks him to be the dragon warrior but he refuses because in the spirit world, he finally got over it! And than in the end, Po actually chooses him anyway, as the plot twist of the movie

Bro this was the first movie i ever walked out in my life ever, and i was so excited to see this, me and my girlfriend door dashed mad money and saved up some chump change for it. We get in theater im hyped, im PUMPED. The movie starts, we about 30 minutes in and is at the city. Im tryna figure out why everyone on they phones and not enjoying this beautiful film of a movie. Then i realize THIS IS ASS. CLICHE AND DOO DOO, our past villains didnt even talk, didnt feel like they were even our villians. WE DONT EVEN SEE THE 5 AT ALL. I already knew that this random mf fox was gon be the next Dragon warrior, the overbearing movie sound effects and ever 5 seconds the music changed cause a slightly different scene came on. Thsi movie was wack yo, me and my girl had to bounch. Jokes were doo doo too.

I read a really cool idea for this movie that I think could've saved it. What if, instead of Foxuafina, Poe had to team up with Tai Lung out of necessity. They train and fight together, even going over past experiences. By the end, Tai Lung FINALLY understands why Oogway chose Poe, not him.

Chameleon literally has the most absurd backstory in the franchise. She has been rejected by many studios just because she was a weak skinny lizard. And before we had a mantis, chicken and even rat army. Why would she get rejected?

Ever since I saw the trailers to Kung Fu Panda 4, I decided to revisit the first 3 films, and I was pleasantly surprised. However, with this 4th film, they've dumped all that, instead choosing to make more money. It frustrates me seeing people calling Kung Fu Panda 4 an okay film, it's a mockery compared to the first two films. Not to mention the furious five (Especially Tigress) are fully missing from the entire film. There was a really interesting relationship between Po and Tigress, and they dumped it.
The director already said that they were going to be on individual missions and have a brief appearance before the movie came out. Also, the Chameleon can summon past villains alive or dead.

I rate it 7/10. It was entertaining, but could have been better. The fight against the chameleon wasn't as great as I expected. They also forgot to add the friends of Po that helped him in the other movies.
I don't mind the plot line. It's so generic and doesn't really make Zen struggle, tho. For example, if she was made for the role, she must struggle for it. The chameleon should have been a challenge for Zen and show what she learned throughout the film internally and externally.
It'd make more sense if po had to look for his successor for when it's his time to join oogway, that way when he is gone someone can continue his legacy. Similar to how Poe continues on oogway's.
The issue I have personally is it went way to far for nostalgia like Ti lung should have been the only one of the three returning villains Kais soul no longer should exist and lord shen doesn’t know kung fu he makes up for it with his inventions and his cunning nature not to mention if the chameleon doesn’t know kung for how does the fox girl know it and know it well enough to be on par with Po and why does Po panda dad suddenly have an issue with being a coward like this dude is legit a badass we saw him smashing a wolves head with a sledge hammer and even taking on kais army and then why does ping suddenly struggle to fly we’ve seen geese easily flying around before and ping himself even stated that he can fly he’s a bird and then how is Po not known the somehow his villains are known but he isn’t like in the second movie Shen was preparing for a war that Po stopped maybe it would make sense in the second movie but he’s stopped a guy who beat masters around all of china this movie legit feels as though the creator was told about kung fu panda by a loving fan and never actually watched it
This movie really confuses me. The movies and the series have a good enough track record with not contradicting each other so where does this movie go in the timeline. Paws of Fury made it that Legends of Awesomeness was still canon, with the mention of heroes chi and the peach tree.

Tigress is now a master and is teaching the furious five while she goes to Po for guidance. Po is reading up on the history of the furious five and realizes that if he fails he can create another Tai and bring imbalance to kung fu. Po travels to the spirit realm and finds Tai, who is training with shifu to find inner peace. They tell Po that he will train the most evil warrior that china has ever known. Po returns and refuses to teach any longer. Until he hears of an entity coming towards him that calls himself the true dragon warrior. Years ago a young oogway is raising a family and is teaching his son how to become a dragon warrior. Oogways son, “shin” secretly switches the dragon scroll and becomes the most powerful being on earth. He faked his death and oogway along with the help of Kai go on to fight the armies that “killed”him. Shin sees the corruption in kung fu and vows to stop it. He kidnaps a young tai lung and infects his heart with fear and anger to corrupt shifu. He even worked with shen to hire the wolves that assisted shen in killing the pandas as he fortold a mighty panda warrior. After his plan fails he trains Kai in the spirit realm and obviously that fails as well. Furious shin comes out of hiding and begins corrupting Po who is now giving up hope of finding the next dragon warrior. Oogway finds out about his son and asks shifu and tai to return, to save Po from the true dragon warrior. In the mortal realm Po is nearly dead from the battle and Shin laughs at the idea that po had been calling himself the dragon warrior, and that he lied to himself. After Po sees that Tai is good now and can change he looks up at shin and says “I may not have ever been a dragon warrior. But I am the panda warrior. And you have failed” Po eventually destroys shin and traps him in the dragon scroll. Which sits back up on the temple. At the end there is a new dragon warrior ceremony and as he’s about to choose a tigress as the dragon warrior a rabbit lands in the stadium where he’s pointing. The movie end
Im sorry, but Tai Lung DID NOT have a surprising yet satisfying conclusion to his character. Honestly, with what we were given in the movie, I would’ve preferred not seeing him at all. Dissapointing is not even enough to describe his role in this utter garbage of a movie.
You could just replace Zhen with tiggress, maybe add Tai Lung and master shifu to the team to take down the chameleon (And give her a decent backstory), BOOM. Simply a movie 10 times better than this one
What got me disappointed in Kung 4 Panda 4 no Furious 5 in the movie what so ever and no them being in the credits 100% doesn't count and not even 3 minutes of the screen of Tai's lung did anything in the movie besides getting this powers stolen and for tai lung to be at the beginning of the trailer and begin in the background of the covers for kungfu panda 4 I would be expecting to see tai lung more in the theatres because that is what fans wanted I was disappointed
Rare to see someone saying Awkwafina was a positive part of the movie! I agree. Sometimes her delivery is a bit flat but overall she did a good job. And I like Zhen. She's smart, sly, slick and sassy
My solution to make the movie better throw Zhen (Aquafina's character) in the trash and make Tai Lung the character Po needs to work and train with to defeat the Chamelon. Have it be about the two growing to respect each other and by the end Tai Lung finally understands what Shifu and Po were trying to tell him years ago and he's finally able to accept he wasn't the Dragon Warrior and reconcile with Shifu and Tigress, perhaps even training under Po to finally achieve Inner Peace himself. That allows for redemption of probably the most tragic villain of the franchise and Po's skills as a teacher are truly highlighted by him being able to do what neither Shifu and Ogawa could.
One big problem i had with this film is the pacing, i found myself bombarded with costant half baked jokes, the rythm was too fast and serious moments didn't had the chance to sink in even for a second.

Tigress should've been the new dragon worry, but not until the 5th movie. Also, I feel like they could've made the Chameleon part of Tigress's past before she joined the dojo. Just spit balling here, but they should've thought out this movie more, since this movie feels too rushed even tho its the same length as the other 3 movies and those movies felt finished, well thought out, a good story to build off of the next, but this one just feels like a sloppy plot. One thing i saw this movie did better is the comedy. The jokes were really good. I just hate that they focused on that rather than building the story.

My solution to make the movie better throw Zhen (Aquafina's character) in the trash and make Tai Lung the character Po needs to work and train with to defeat the Chamelon. Have it be about the two growing to respect each other and by the end Tai Lung finally understands what Shifu and Po were trying to tell him years ago and he's finally able to accept he wasn't the Dragon Warrior and reconcile with Shifu and Tigress, perhaps even training under Po to finally achieve Inner Peace himself.
That allows for redemption of probably the most tragic villain of the franchise and Po's skills as a teacher are truly highlighted by him being able to do what neither Shifu and Ogawa could.

One big problem i had with this film is the pacing, i found myself bombarded with costant half baked jokes, the rythm was too fast and serious moments didn't had the chance to sink in even for a second.
At least it's not that awful.
Tai Lung also was never dead. He was just banished to the Spirit Realm by Po in the same way Oogway banished Kai.

Tigress should've been the new dragon worry, but not until the 5th movie. Also, I feel like they could've made the Chameleon part of Tigress's past before she joined the dojo. Just spit balling here, but they should've thought out this movie more, since this movie feels too rushed even tho its the same length as the other 3 movies and those movies felt finished, well thought out, a good story to build off of the next, but this one just feels like a sloppy plot.
One thing i saw this movie did better is the comedy. The jokes were really good. I just hate that they focused on that rather than building the story.
Stupid they had to remove the Furious Five, who were on a separate mission. 😒

It merely regressed its existing characters of the growth they had,or removed key characters (that which were fan favorites) (the furious five) it’s a simply inferior film with infinitely less charm. It’s an objective fact that this script and film by extension pales in comparison to the films that preceded. But I don’t expect you to read, or comprehend this at all, so keep consuming low tier trash.
