Thanks for putting Moe's clinics up for us to watch. I remember working on the range at Glen Abbey in the late 80's during the Canadian Open. Moe would walk on to the range in street shoes and borrow the pro's clubs and do his flawless display. There was a hydro wire that crossed the range about 40 yards out. Moe would talk a 5 iron he borrowed from a tour pro. Moe would announce that he would try to hit the wire, the balls would miss the wire by a few inches and about every 4th or 5th ball Moe would catch a piece of a wire that was maybe 1 inch wide. That is why the pro's watched Moe, he could call the trajectory and hit it dead straight. Truly a sight I will never forget.
In the first video he’s ten seconds on every swing follow through and set up. Crazy he’s like a machine. His mind definitely worked a different way what a beautiful human being!
Much has been said about the swings of Moe Norman and Ben Hogan, Norman spent the majority of his career on the Canadian Tour, Hoganwas under immense pressure on the PGA tour, and achieved so much when one considers the absence during the war years, and his limitplay tournaments after the car accident. Hogan's tameingof Carnousty was a marvellous achievement, at the end of the day in my opinion, Hogan had agreat looking finnes at address and Finish.
I drive the ball 273 on average with my conventional swing. I am significantly longer, 25 yards or so, with a single-plane swing, probably because I make better contact and feel freed up to actually let it rip. You simply have more room to swing the club. I can't say enough positive things about Todd's work documenting Moe's way to swing a golf club. Believe me, you will get over the awkwardness of having an unconventional swing when you start to see results, which will be sooner rather than later. It makes golf so damn easy. It makes conventional golf instruction seem like something akin to astrology. I can't see myself going back.
Keep it up gentlemen, it's good to see the technique has hit the PGA. I played a small part with attending the Graves school in Orlando in 2005. This was my best lessons I've ever taken. Golf is enjoyable every time I launch at the first tee. Thanks Todd and Tim for making golf so easy to play. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I have made the change to the Graves/Moe single plane swing and I have not lost any distance. I am hitting it straighter and the best part is I am not tired or sore after a round.
Why did you cut away and Segway into next video just as he was showing how he swung the club in slow motion at 27:22, Todd??? This is very, very important for people to see; unless you dont want anyone to see it?? Post it, please
I haven’t changed my swing I just address the ball 4-5 inches behind and I’ve gained so much distance it literally blew my mind... like completely in awe... I can pipe a 5 iron 200+ all day and I’m 6’ -165lbs
In the months since c19 hit, ive been practicing in my backyard drving range....ive. Used moes, hogans book , Johnnie millers comment on hogans hand finish, jack nicklases back of hang at address, used a srectch of left side (a six foot rubber band) a five foot pipe about five pounds' and a headless driver shaft ( for the woosh sound) went to Senior. shfted wilson staff irons, added an inch to my Bang driver( yeah i never heard of it either) a nickelet 14 degree hybrid 1 metal. (TO REPLACE MY THREE METAL) ,an ortiez hybrid 4, 19 degree, and a 22 degree idea 3 hybrid, and practced 50 to 100 shots 5 to 7 times a week, shortened my backswing to three quarters, consitrated on no moving my head (very hard to do) as i used to john daly it for sixty five years ( im 75) i hit the ball dead straight( no lie) and played my coarse for. the first time isince jan. 29 2020 and shot my age...my best on my home coarse 6104 yards....the point...as arnold said swing your own swing oh yeah ive been told i swing like freddy couples now...so when life gives you lemons....
Celebrate Moe Norman's Birthday Tribute Week with this set of three ball-striking clinics with Moe demonstrating his consistent and accurate Single Plane Golf Swing-PREMIERS at 3pm CST on Monday July 6
Been watching you guys the last couple weeks well tonight I decided to put it to the test...I’m a +3 hc ex professional baseball player and thought there was no way this could keep up with my traditional swing...I WAS WRONG...I’m only 5’7 so I don’t create a lot of leverage but was a power hitter in baseball and this feels like my baseball movements to an extent...I hit 75 drives tonight on the launch monitor and avg was 287 carry 305 total...that’s 9 yards further than my traditional swing
That’s awesome! Thanks for posting this. It would be really cool to see your swing in action and get in touch to talk about your game. If you’re interested, you can reach our master coaches at gold@gravesgolf.com or 405-250-6960. By the way as a baseball player you may already know about the Hand Speed Trainer, but they’re also great for golfers to increase clubhead speed using functional resistance. Hope to hear from you soon!
Note that Moe Norman waggle his club almost identical as Ben Hogan except for his unorthodox stretched out arms just before he swings his club. To be specific Hogan writes: “When the player waggles the club back, right elbow should hit the part of the right hip. As the lower part of his left arm rotates on the back waggle the golfer actually gets on backswing plane. “ With Moe stretch out arms, his right elbow can only point towards his right hip; never touching it and then it straighten out the moment he starts rotating his lower left arm no more then a quarter of a turn to get immediately into his back single plane swing. Cheers
It’s interesting that he “feels” like he is pulling ( drag loading ) where in reality he is DRIVE loading. At release and through to the follow throw he drives ( thrusts ) with his trail arm. Classic hitting motion.
If it works for you just do it !! Even thought its single plane every person is going to be slightly different . What ever gets you the results use it .
It's nice to watch him hit golf balls he's very pure when he does it but his swing will never work for another person so everyone needs to stop trying to copy his swing and start copying things about his swing.
That provably untrue. Graves has taught thousands of golfers this swing. It’s not special, it’s a product of correct position and movement. It’s natural. Graves golf teaches to copy the swing, if you copy “parts” and try to fit it with your swing idea (s) , it will fumble apart. It’s all or nothing, not a quick fix but it is a permanent one.
Rory will look like tiger soon. 🤔 All the young bucks get trained the same, Mr. Roboto. PGA -Make the game hard & technical so looks better on the Tele.
Why does Todd not show phe most important demo from 2001 Florida where Moe states that he was doing wrong all his life and found a new way. All lies from Todd, he just doesn't get it!

Just wanted to thank you for basically showing how Moe swang on here for us guys who can't afford lessons at a golf school
In the first video he’s ten seconds on every swing follow through and set up. Crazy he’s like a machine. His mind definitely worked a different way what a beautiful human being!
All the millions of golf balls that Moe shot, he watched every one.
Could watch Moe all day, great swing and a kind soul!

Same here . My longest drives have been using the single plane
Heck of a golfer. Didn't go round asking everyone for help. Did it on his own.

legendary..remember, when everyone goes one way, go the other
Good advice. Now do it.
I have made the change to the Graves/Moe single plane swing and I have not lost any distance. I am hitting it straighter and the best part is I am not tired or sore after a round.
I have been using Moe’s single plane and went from driving 240 yards and all over the place to 285 and on the fairway. Thanks for sharing!

It's. Secret it's a secret
The sound in the 1991 video was good. I could really hear the purity of Moe's strike; especially with the fairway wood------ phenomenal!!!!!
I haven’t changed my swing I just address the ball 4-5 inches behind and I’ve gained so much distance it literally blew my mind... like completely in awe... I can pipe a 5 iron 200+ all day and I’m 6’ -165lbs
Don’t get sick of watching him
Fantastic

Classic hitting motion.
Moe started his swing way back from the ball. Why? Is that to square up the face easier?
i would have loved to seen a shot tracer behind him
47:18 I think we found the answer to that question.. 😁
He is human he actually mis hit one at 46:05 only one I've ever seen after watching tons of clinics on videos
I saw that too and couldn't believe it LOL he is human!! first one i've ever seen him miss
How many tour wins do you have?
Why do they say Moe Norman is a short hitter when hes hitting it 409 yards?
Is it ok if I focus on the front of the ball for irons woods shot as a single planer or is that against your recommendation?
If it works for you just do it !! Even thought its single plane every person is going to be slightly different . What ever gets you the results use it .
Unfortunately cannot register. The website is blocked by each of my browsers. Really enjoying all of your content though, guys!
I would love to have a alignment ball and foot trainer
It’s a game-changing tool! The original version is available here members.singleplaneacademy.com/alignment-and-ball-position-trainer/
Why so manny videos the same why not one one slow motion thank you

Did Moe Norman believe in having all clubs be the same length?
Yep. He choked down.
Yes I noticed how long his grips were.
Q: when was the last time you were in a sand trap?
Moe: 1989.
🎉🎂🎈

Bryson has an insane ball speed and club head speed. He does not have a single plane swing like Moe.
Actually he does
