The eternal prison is so over the top but I love it. Back in the day, it was always my favourite part because it's so dark and gritty. And the atmosphere is great.
As you saw at the end, the weird furnace guy was a vampire they were torturing. Vampires don't die easily, so they could torture them more - flaying their skin and muscle off to expose their internal organs, cutting off bits of their skulls to expose the brain, and strapping them to burning furnaces to scorch their skin. One of those times where it's probably a good thing the graphics couldn't fully convey the design. You can really tell the game designers went wild with this part of the game.
The game is just fucking with you now. That's the second boss mysteriously immune to your attacks when they're not supposed to be. I never had these bugs on the PS2 version.
I was gonna say, that's kind of insane. The Marcus one I've seen before, but it's only with that one specific kind of weapon, not any others. With Magnus... I have no words. That is genuinely insane.
The later levels of this game get really good. The Eternal Prison is my favourite level in this. And about this game trying to emulate the quality of the dialogue of the other games,I feel the same. Its like they are trying to use language that seems as eloquent and articulate as the other games but they do it without having extensive knowledge of English that results in them using words that sound high and mighty and may impress a child but leave more 'experienced' people unimpressed. That said, not all of the dialogue is meh as Kain def has some good lines in this.Good thing the next game is back in Amy Hennig's hands. It would have been a sour note to end the series on something at par with BO2
Hey just for some insight. The boss fight would be somewhat quicker if you grabbed and threw him into the scythes. Then he breaks möbius staff by running or throwing him into it then into the infinity symbol. Figured I’d let you know that since you kind of got lucky at the end with him charging twice and you didn’t get to see him break the staff.
106:26 Wouldn't it be funny to find out that the hyldon were responsible for the creation of the elder God (the mass) which in their absence, grew and became the largest parasite the world had ever seen.
See, slow burn of a game. It gets better once you are in the meat of it and things actually happen. The first part of the game is really just Kain waking up and dusting off. Getting stronger by feeding and killing the vampire bros. Not much story or lore to be had. Not much development or connections to anything. But the story gets going. Eventually.
Okay....I need to know. Is this really the same game as Blood Omen 2 for the Ps2? Because I am pretty sure nothing of this has happened in that one. And if it is in fact different might I suggest you, Mapo, play the Ps2 version? Because I really want to see you compare the games.
Will you play LoK: DEFIANCE also? B.O.2 is pretty trash but I'm still glad you've been sticking with it long enough for it to get better. I gave up on it before Kain gets out of the city because it seemed so bad compared to the Soul Reavers.
@@hassansabbah4241yeah I'll never understand why they gave these poor guys so little to work with. Blood Omen 2 deserved better. It's crazy that this is the game with by far the most amount of NPCs who have fully modeled faces and moving mouths with their dialogue, because that must have taken up so many development resources, and they already had scraps for money and employees.
@@Mapocolops i'v watched all you LOK videos. And yes i do, my statement stands. Like you said yourself, there's no debt to thise puzzles, just hit the switch and move on. Btw, ur claws do as much damage as anything else "Nutcracker"
Having his best champion being thrown into swirling water has become a habit that Kain could never quite shake after all this.
Spoiler alert!
muahahahaha this whole time you made fun of the backpack bad guy jumping in the water and you go right on and do it yourself... classic.

I was bummed out about not being able to use the wardens' scythes too lol.
Surprised Pikachu face Mapo on the thumbnail means we've finally reached the good part! Let's goooo 😃😃😃

Can't wait for defiance
Me neither! I'm so excited for him to experience that emotional rollercoaster. 😁
He was trying to grab the bars underneath the grate, but me missed.
He was a vamp too, hence the dmg from water.
I'm pretty sure its the same guy.
This game isn’t perfect but I love Magnus. The Eternal Prison in general. Can’t wait for Defiance.

PARRY SPIDERS...? The horror... The horror...

The events of Blood Omen 2 happened because Kain changed the timeline during the moment the coin landed on its edge.
I know :)
@@MapocolopsI was just confirming it for you.
The warden sounds like a character straight out of a monty python sketch haha
Big axe and big sword can decapitate with thr grab even the soldiers without the shoulder protection
Haha, if you thought the scrawny Demons having a bunch of blood in them were bad...

a weapon upgrade box repairs damage of a weapon, so you don`t need to change it
I wish I knew the schedule for completing this game. I eagerly await your reaction to the events of the next video
The furnace guys look like vampires from Castlevania 64.

Blood omen 2 wasnt made by the main team thats why it lacks so badly compared to rest of the series
