As a Pakistani where we don't have a consistent supply of gas , electricity or water so we opt for lpg cylinders , solar panels & ground water (aka boaring) . FOr my family, my father was able to work so hard, coming from a smaller apartment in chennai with his family to get an IT job and get on an aeroplane to New York to work there and give me and and my sister a good American education. But still, there was a lot of struggle, especially with American Immagration for Indians, he had to spend 17 entire years of constant work in America just to get the greencard. And also his company kept on laying him off, with how unstable the field is for Programmers, with so much new technology and languages for programming. But thank god it was not this Dunki route to America, because while the legal route is difficult, the DUnki route would have been so dangerous.
Im not sure why people do this, the person did a diploma and coudlnt find a job yet got loan of 15 lakh to be a dunki. Why didnt he get that loan for a proper degree? Then settle that loan and go for HS abroad? If there is geniune need i can empathise with such folks. This is more like greed and not very empathisable. I think with the amounts involved if properly spent you can have a decent life in india and still being smart you can go abroad too. Its cost of living difference... Once in Europe or US, even if they earn lower than minimum wage, the amount they'll save and send to India is much higher than what they can earn in India.

As a Pakistani where we don't have a consistent supply of gas , electricity or water so we opt for lpg cylinders , solar panels & ground water (aka boaring) . FOr my family, my father was able to work so hard, coming from a smaller apartment in chennai with his family to get an IT job and get on an aeroplane to New York to work there and give me and and my sister a good American education. But still, there was a lot of struggle, especially with American Immagration for Indians, he had to spend 17 entire years of constant work in America just to get the greencard. And also his company kept on laying him off, with how unstable the field is for Programmers, with so much new technology and languages for programming. But thank god it was not this Dunki route to America, because while the legal route is difficult, the DUnki route would have been so dangerous.

Im not sure why people do this, the person did a diploma and coudlnt find a job yet got loan of 15 lakh to be a dunki. Why didnt he get that loan for a proper degree? Then settle that loan and go for HS abroad?

No point of taking dunki routes and going to foreign countries. Instead stay in India only. Yes I agree everyone has aspirations to be rich and you get limited opportunities in India but this is fate accept it and move on. You can’t change destiny because god has already set it before you took birth. Look everyone can’t be so lucky to be born rich or born in a western country. Rich people can take legal routes as well either develop contact with someone living in those countries insist them to start a business and get invited through sponsorship visa or encourage someone to take up education there as it’s easy to get student visa.
