Perry King reading Perry Mason. You did that on purpose 😉 My old hometown had a small library, but for some reason it had nearly a complete set of Erle Stanley Gardner's Perry Mason books and some of his other works as well.
Because of this audiobook I was inspired to watch all 271 TV episodes of the Perry Mason series starring Raymond Burr. Only 1 episode was in color and he never lost a case. What surprised me were all the familiar guest stars and that they often would be in more than one episode, even if their character had been killed in a previous seasons episode.
OOOH! Perry King?! I'm glad I came to the comments. (I'm usually so good at identifying noted people's voices that I'm disappointed in myself, lol)! Thank you. Perry King...ooh-lah-lah!💓💃💓
Excellent performance! Makes a big difference when a professional actor does the reading. I’m a big PM fan but had never hear this story. Don’t think they ever used this in the Raymond Burr tv series.
what happened to his Audiobooks that has more than 6 hours? Unlike many others Audiobook that is narrated by just ONLY one person. The Audiobook that have more than 6 hours, there are several people. I have heard at least more than 15. They are the same people, the narrator and Perry Mason is the same one, so is Dela Street, Paul Drake, and many others, the accused, the distric attorney, judge, policeman.etc. They narrated in a such a way that look like a movie. I heard this one. I have the 1935 movie The Case of the Luck Legs and the 6 hours and 15 minutes that i've heard from TH-cam and it is much better. Actually they follow the book.
It sounds like the audio has been treated with something like extreme noise reduction which has compromised the sound quality. A shame but it's too hard to listen to.
Unfortunately, the tape was in rough shape with loud hissing and had many words spoken so quietly that they were almost inaudible. I did what I could to get rid of the hiss and increase the volume of the quietly spoken words, but when you have to do that to the degree required, the final outcome while improved, ain't great. Thanks to those who were able to listen anyway and sorry to those who weren't able to finish it because of poor audio quality. On the plus side, this tape got me to binge watch the original TV series staring Raymond Burr. Currently watching Season 5's "The Case of the Impatient Partner."
Than you so muc for not reading the female voices with a rediculous attempt to sound female...youu are narrating this perfecttly with just neutral sounding voices. PLEASE record mre Perry Mason. Thankyoou so much.
I'm sick, sad and unable to focus enough to read a book. I go from audiobook to audiobook. I'm not meant to live like this. Can anybody recommend a safe medication that will destroy my sex drive and make me forget that I am alive?
That's a good question for a doctor to see if there is a medical condition that is making you feel down and then if necessary for a psychiatrist to help you get back to a place where life is worth living again. Good luck to you.
Thank you for your question. In my experience. The official medical community is nothing but a financial trap and a scam. It is best to self medicate.@@isabellind1292

Thank you for posting. Perry does an excellent job. I have enjoyed his work for years.

I know! A lot of actors worked each season!

Audio ain't too bad at all. Not great, maybe not good, but not too bad. Fine for an insomniac.

This was excellent! The audio problems were not, shall we say, 'fatal' in The Case of the Beautiful Beggar.
I have always loved Perry Mason. However, the audio quality is not good, so difficult to listen
I really like the speaking voice and speaking style, but the muffled quality of the audio means I just can't continue listening.😔
It's awful. I can only listen to it a few minutes at a time.
Maybe headphones will work
I didn't think it was that bad. Great story!

The automatic captions do a decent job, but it does rather defeat the point of an audiobook.
Agreed. Too bad I was really liking it otherwise

@@greatbooksontape782 I enjoyed it regardless! I only feel a little silly for having "read" an audiobook :)

I hear that antidepressants actually lower sex drive. Not safe to take without a doctor's guidance though.
You have the entire medical community at your fingertips and you're posting the question here?
