The public loved it so when she left they needed a new character that could be a mans equal with MAN APPEAL hence M appeal Emma Peel was born. at 24 a seasoned actress she was launched into international status within 3 years and rightly so.
She was ahead of her time. Emma Peal was Tough, Smart, witty, yet very feminine, beautiful. She held her own. Didn't need to be propped up by denigrating all the males she encountered. She and Steed were a great team. I loved their chemistry. Diana really brought that character to life.
