- After 14 years of being over the road and only being home once in a while..... I have finally landed a local job where I will be home every single day and most Sundays... Thank you all for following my channel and keeping up with me.... And thank you for all of your comments good or bad...... much respect to the truck drivers that are still out there....

I want to say "congratulations," Ryan, because you are obviously happy about this change and I don't want to rain on your parade. But won't a 60-hour trucker's work week, plus an hour's commute to and fro, end up being little different from an OTR gig with a 34-hour restart? And when would you have time to homestead? (Again, forgive me for sounding like a Negative Nancy. These were just thoughts I couldn't ignore as I listened to you.)
Ill be home every day and have 2 or 3 hrs every evening plus most Sundays off....at home.....
Plus....its a step towards what im really wanting..... and you have to start somewhere

I only work Monday thru Friday, straight days, and off on weekends
How many stops you do a day? Do you unload / load? Backhaul?

I drive a cable truck now.... I go into coal mines, pick up damaged cable and bring it back to the shop for repairs....then bring the cable back to the mines...
