If mechanical engineering irrelevant now a days....then software engineers and other people should give up driving cars or vehicles and taking flights in aeroplane..... robotics manufacturing equipment should be quited......and most important one space exploration should also be stopped.......😂😂😂
Mech is not irrelevant.. people have developed the cheap mindset of going in the direction of hype(which says cse is the only engineering option) Everyone are just busy in getting enrolled in cse branch neglecting the overwhelming core branches from where these new branches have just come. Teachers who themselves are mechanical or civil engineers are dropping out videos on youtube only addressing the hyped branches and are manipulating young minds that except Cse/It other branches are trash, and if you don't get cse/it your whole engineering is vain, this and that! Everything is just fkd up! People should encourge young minds to get knowledge about every branches of engineering so that they can decide what is best for them, instead of regretting of not getting cse.

I have got 290 score in BITSAT examination should I got admission in computer science Engineering admission in Bit Pilani GOA at fifth or six lteration pls help me.
Bits goa mechanical or dtu mechanical ( keep in mind in bits there is possibility of branch upgradation but in dtu its based on crl of jee main so it’s impossible for mech branch students to upgrade even after getting 10cgpa)

But in placement and practice school mechanical people may not be allowed to sit for certain companies(Microsoft,google etc), but there are a few companies like Uber which allow people from all branches to sit for the interviews(Uber for eg during summer internship) .
What does he mean when he said he practiced for consulting and product management? Did he do courses in those fields or did he prepare for interviews and if so how? Plss answer as im confused asf

The number of IT companies which allow are on the lesser side, there are product management, finance companies which generally allow all branches.
