Maestro (1939-1977) a prolific calypsonain. If you check his music dates back to about 1960, right now I can't recall many of the songs off the top of my head. Check Sookram Ali's page on TH-cam for more information on this Calypsonian. He did an interview with members of Maestro's inner circle (family, friends, associates). What I remember is that Maestro was a family man, he never went to fete with the other Calypsonians, musicians afterwards. If I remember two popular albums during Maestro's time was Maestro '76 (1976) & "Rampage" (1977). Uncle Alvin, I am appealing to you, because obviously you've done more research than me but exactly what took place when Maestro died. I believe he had an accident on the Solomon Hochoy highway, feel free to elaborate Sir. 1977 was the year of women in Trinidad- Janelle "Penny" Commissiong- First Black Miss Universe (Lord Kitchener, Sparrow even Poser sang her praises). Also, Calypso Rose won the Road March 🏆with "Give Me More Tempo". I do my research, but remember this is through the internet, you have more sources- books, newspaper clippings. If I had to guess (I know an LP in those from Jimmy's, Crosby's was $25.00 or more). You might be surprise to hear the names of records shops of long ago- this is before First Priority Music in Trinidad. God Bless....
