- The new Kia Sportage 2019 is Kia’s fourth-generation Sportage, and a medium-sized SUV that would suit most city and outdoor drivers.
Released this year, the Kia Sportage SUV provides a range of features that typical SUVs in its class and price bracket would, from cleverly thought out interiors to unique technology add-ons.
*Please note: this review specifically looks and tests the GT Line S, but considers specs of all variants.

==================================================================================
The 2019 Kia Sportage is available in both 1.6l and 2.0l petrol and diesel engines, and comes in six different trims: the ISG 1, 2, 3, 4, GT and GT S Line.
The petrol engines come in two forms: the GDI and T-GDI, which output an impressive 130bhp and 174bhp respectively. As Kia suspects that most buyers will want a diesel engine, they will be pleased to know that Kia has extended it’s mild-hybrid technology to both it’s 1.6l and 2.0l engines. A 48-volt battery extends the engine’s off time and seamlessly blends the ‘motor’ and ‘generator’ modes.
The fourth-generation Kia Sportage features a redesigned front bumper, LED headlights and can get 16”, 17” and 19” alloys wheels. The car’s infotainment system has been overhauled and depending on the trim, can get a 7” or a 8” display - both with DAB radio.
==================================================================================
For those interested, the Kia Sportage offers plenty of features that make driving this car a pleasure.
It is available on lease from Intelligent Car Leasing, starting from only £183.99.

This guy is brilliant. So informative!
Great review, that kia sportage is lovely, looks good in blue too, hoping to get one of these for my next car in 2 years, really fancy the petrol turbo one but would happily take the higher powered diesel hybrid, these look amazing in the red colour in gt line trim or white 😍👌👍👍
Thanks for the feedback - we're glad you liked the review John 👍🚗
Great review
Best reviewer on the internet bar none.
Hi, I’m considering the GT line S AWD auto crdi in the blue you show here.
I’m glad Kia / Hyundai have taken the diesel hybrid route - I’ve always thought surely it’s the best way; economical city driving and economical long distance driving. But it’s a shame they didn’t make the battery pack larger so you could drive 30 to 40 miles on EV only.
I’ve heard the front seats are a bit short for long legged drivers, what is your experience on this and of course your viewers, too?
Many thanks guys, great review as always.
Stay safe and well.
Brilliant review
Thanks William 👍🚗
Thanks William 👍🚗
Great review, makes me feel good for just having bought one. Certainly the least critical I’ve seen. I’ve gone for the 2018 petrol 1.6 T-Gdi GT-line DCT with turbo to give 0-60 in under 9 seconds. Safety features were a big draw having a young child and of course the transferable Kia warranty. I’ll update this after I’ve driven it....
Just bought mine... Same model as your one on a 2019 plate... Picking it up Friday Can't wait 😂
The 0-60 times on these reviews are trash. The US SX (Turbo) that I drive is way under 9, 10 or 11 seconds on Sport.
I have the moon silver g T line s lovely car 🚘 cannot fault it .
Are the front seats comfortable on long journeys the headrest looks uncomfortable?
I got 48v 2 trim mega car.
I thought about bying a petrol Kia. Now,,, i don't know??
damn the sportage with black glossy rim is so pornstar
