usually in planes equiped with spoilers it is requiered or recomended to arm them before takeoff in case you have to abort the takeoff run. Arming them before takeof means that if you were to go from takeoff power to iddle they would automatically deploy (in some airplanes).
thank you for your answer and sorry for my bad english. Actually in the beta 3 and 2,I cannot even see (in the cockpit) the throttle moving when i press Page Up or Down in my keybord . In the version 1.4 I did not have this problem.
0:19, about arming the spoilers, Im not 100% if it is the same when it comes to Military aviation (Because I flew the commerical aircraft in fsx/p3d etc and is starting to learn military aviation) but arming the spoilers is for the event of a rejected takeoff (Where if once you slam on the breaks it deploys them automatically) which helps slows down the aircraft faster, but that is for a massive 747 and not sure if its the same reason for Mil jets.
After touchdown the aerodynamic flow over the wing top runs into the spoilers(speedbreaks) which are extended vertically thereby pushing the aircraft's weight down on the gear struts which makes the braking more effective and allows for shorter stopping distances.
Whatever keeps the plane flying the way you want it to. Leaving it at 8 causes it to keep pitching up, so unless you’re going space shuttle trim back down a bit.
I Love this plane...I am having a problem with Engine Running take offs, on a carrier or on a runway or ramp if I have engines running as soon as I start to fly the plane explodes like it crashed... Any ideas what the problem I am having my be fixed.. I cannot even TO from Ramp if the engine is running... instant explosion..
Its FREE and its hella FUN !!!!!! This module was made without the SDK (only available to licensed 3rd parties) and has been adjusted for unassisted carrier take off so people need to bare that in mind.
Yes has tailhook (its in the normal place) yes can land on the carrier, Note** cannot use the Carriers Cat tho for take off. But the flight model has been adjusted to give the power needed for unassisted carrier take off - Line up as if you were going to hook up to the cat then just full power while holding on the brakes for as long as possible, release and take off
In the cct you keep the gear and flap down. Speed below 225kts. Base TURN and finals should all be at optimum AOA. No flare on landing. Never do a touch and go for training as the tyres need replacing every ~6 landings irl... Armament -Safe Hook-Up (unless arrest). Gear-Down Flaps-Down Indexers-Lit Spoilers-Armed Brakes-Test Taxi light-On. It should be a tight cct... Roll out on final at 300agl. Yours was huge ;-).
Thanks for the great video, awesome as always. In regards to the spoilers: I have just found a video from this guy: th-cam.com/video/HQV1nwdYRic/w-d-xo.html He was a real A4 pilot back in the day and in his video he explains why the spoilers need to be armed at take off and landing and how they work. Awesomely detailed, long and very informative.

It would be nice if you could indicate your throttle percentage through out the landing from the downwind. Great video!

ok Thanks
This makes sense, I've flown Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 back then as I was a child and never knew that you should arm them.
Yep that's what it for!

You should have flood some light in the panel , to allow us to see the speed and the altitude.
You have been so helpful with these
flaps at take off? those flaps and on a delta wing? hm...
Hey cap do i need to get the trim back to idle after takeoff or do i leave it at 8?
Can't remember anymore sorry!

Im hoping they make a A4-k skyhawk
Hi, i installed the 2.0 bera 3 version. I am using keyboard and mouse, but the throttle step -increase and decrease does not work for me

Nice plane ! What do you think about the flight model ?
It's not too bad once in the air. Doesn;t have a proper ground model yet obviously.
Its FREE and its hella FUN !!!!!!

Stick should be full forward until ~100kts..
No tailhook for carrier landings?
I think it has one,. haven't got that far yet.
I think it's inside the airframe however I'm not sure.

Sly Si Or cheat and pretend to be Russian and use the ski jump...😂
I found the tail hook with the LAlt+G and it lowers..
Great Videos! When I land the A4 I seem to have a hard time slowing down. The wheel brakes don't seem to kick in till I'm under 50. Any ideas?
Same here matt. Just crappy brakes. Make sure u have spoilers out and airbrakes out help a little.
@@grimreapers Thanks! Such a fun plane to fly. Love throwing it into flat spins!

all very well done however all military jets fly overhead break pattern...the one that you describe here is what civilians fly!
Spoiler armed might be to cover rto situations.
