I learned filigree and silver crochet from you at Spruill College in Atlanta. We also became friends and had dinner at Indigo. If you remember me please respond. I want to continue with filigree again. I am now in California.

I have been using my plumbers torch using map gas and going in slowly helps.

When the frame is gold and the filigree is silver, do you if work gold or silver weld? Thanks

I have your video! I am having trouble with the wires detaching, does that mean they are not soldered enough, not enough solder! Thank you.

I've found that making sure that wires are touching the frame and making a good joint really helps.

Thank you for this usefull input. Is there something similar for Gold, or does it work on Gold too?.
    Thanks. Nice work.

Hello, and you're very welcome! Powder solder works well on 18K gold. Hope this helps, and have a great day!

Please define the flame that you are using. I have a Smith Little torch. Would you suggest tip 7 and neutral flame?

It's called a corona and is an oxygen reducing flame that helps give overall heat by creating a kiln like atmosphere with the charcoal block. I don't use a Smith Little torch, so I'm not sure which tip would be appropriate. Anything you can do to reduce the pressure, lower the oxygen, and diffuse the flame will help create a corona.

Какой еще российский филигранный припой? Такого нет понятия в принципе. Это классический порошковый припой. Который использовали еще до существования России.
