    Outstanding, I probably would have started with the saw because firewood :) then find a dump truck driver to start hauling fill then stumps and brush just to get it pretty. Always like building roads.

    We JUST bought 5 acres near Thorn Hill, TN. I will be doing the excavation/clearing work myself so I love to watch videos showing it. You did an awesome job with the work and with the video recording. As a Christian, I was delightfully surprised to find your message at the end. Nicodemus is one of my favorite "characters". I often think what would have happened if he had chosen to believe everything Jesus had said that night? How would the Jewish religion been different? Of course everything is God's plan so it happened how it happened. New subscriber!

      Thank you for subscribing and welcome to the channel. I really appreciate the encouragement and glad you enjoyed the message. I believe the Lord has given me this opportunity as a ministry to reach folks with the message and I hope to do that faithfully.
      I think about things like you mentioned about Nicodemus. But you are right. It all happens according to His will.
      Wish you the best on your excavation work. I have learned a lot myself from watching guys work on TH-cam.

    Great message! When you started to climb the hill would it have helped any to have the blade turned around to level out the excavator to push the tree down?

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Scott, I appreciate that! Yes, the blade down in the back would give more stability. However, if you still need to dig you are pulling against the final drives in the undercarriage. It's better to pull against the idlers on the front of the undercarriage. Less stress on the expensive parts of the undercarriage 😁

On my video I’ve only ran an excavator like 3 times so I’m getting there just trying to make it through. I’ve also posted this game where you drive tractors an my little cousins like it but thanks for the words of encouragement today it really helps me get through a long day of school and work I’ll try and send you the link and god be with you stay safe out there,

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks David and I appreciate you commenting. The 309 is a great size machine. It will do a great job for digging roads and clearing land. Unless you are doing huge trees and large acreage it will be fine. Obviously a larger excavator is more efficient for larger trees and big tracts of land. I use the 308 a lot for clearing. 2400 hours is not bad at all as long as maintenance was done on it. Holler back anytime, glad to help...
