I love budget decks! I haven't spent a single dollar on this game and I joined the moment Relinquished became unobtainable (Salty about that), but I'm doing my best with what i have. I finally made it to Plat with a Roll n' Boost Joey Wheeler deck, but budget decks are very helpful for me!

Been using insects myself, there's some cool combo potential with Insect Imitation + ECon/Soul Exchange if you can get hold of them This is one of the variants I've been using ~ 2 Millennium Scorpion 3 Pinch Hopper 2 Arsenal Bug 2 Gokipon 1 Cocoon of Evolution 2 Possessed Dark Soul 3 Enemy Controller 2 Insect Imitation 2 Worm Bait 1 De-Spell
btw , if u get gokipon (or any 2 star or lower insect) and worm bait, u can summon gokipon directly and activate your worm bait (insect uprising) to reduce opponent's dmg by 800

The Pegasus match, he had Mind Scan, and you played like he didn't! Also, why not run Insect Queen, it's great with a pinch hopper deck, plus Insect Amor with Laser Cannon (700 atk boost) & if you have skull mark ladybug as well
i think you could trade in the two ladybugs with two gokipons cuz deck thinning is deck winning(TM) that would mean going defensive with your cocoon of evolutions (three would be good since the highest regular beater is 1900 without equips) and then offensive with the arsenal bugs. i wasn't really sure about pinch hopper but it could build up your defenses in a pinch either by cocoons, arsenal bugs or tributes?? worm bait is good in a pinch i guess, pack a de-spell and metalmorph just in case?
Darmin and shadypenguinn play quite the same deck with the same skill, and they uploaded the videos on the same day. Is this a coincidence or did they plan for this ?? LMAOO great video tho, and can you make a video of weevil's deck with parasite infestation skill in pvp?
You may want to at least test out the infamous DNA Surgery/Insect Barrier combo if you have the cards. Insect Queen is also awesome if you're running those.

I've been experimenting with Insects as well I think running 4 Tributes would be good becuse of the x3 Hoppers and not to mention your running x2 baits
i think shield & sword would work on this deck,it can make your cocoon a beater(it's kinda dangerous for the turn after it tho,that is if you dont have protection such as e-con,windstorm,kuriboh,etc.. adding desert sunlight would be such a waste of space although it worked in this case),arsenal bug wouldnt mind to get his atk and def switched up because it is basiclly the same.
Instead of the two 4-star ladybugs I'd suggest two distortion waves. Their more versatile in their targets and can stall better against decks that don't rely on level 4 monsters forcing them to go on the defensive while still having monsters. You'll have 2 less monsters but I feel it would even itself out quite nicely.

king james I know this doesn't help and it probably hurts a bit,but after just 10 packs I got a glossy mirror wall and then reset and within 2 packs got a prismatic mirror wall.The RNG is kind of ridiculous and sadly it makes the game dependent on luck.

Shady may I suggest using an emulator like Bluestacks or Nox to play Duel Links as this would prevent fat fingers and may make the game more enjoyable
