Chernobyl: Men of Steel - Official Trailer (2022)

"Chernobyl: Men of steel" takes us to a completely different reality - The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The film gives a voice to those whom the world has so far refused to listen to - samosely, the last remaining inhabitants of Chernobyl Zone. They still live in the contaminated area, in abandoned villages, bravely facing the adversities of fate. Among them are those who saw the reactor explode. Many of them helped severely injured firefighters and plant workers. All were forcibly resettled.
"They evacuated us for three days, and it's been three decades," - they say today when asked about those days. They are slowly coming to terms with the fact that the stories they never told will die with them. "Men of steel" is a testimony of people who the world has so far seen as mute. Tragic, sometimes overwhelming.Yet true and human.
The humanitarian action to help the inhabitants of the zone, which is presented in the film, has been taking place since 2017 with a fixed line-up: Amadeusz Kocan, Krystian Machnik, Maciej Bogaczyk.
