Blue Moon Epoxy Lamp | Epoxy Resin Art

In this video, I am preparing a blue moon shaped epoxy night light. The materials I use are olive wood, walnut wood, deep cast epoxy, green and blue epoxy pigments, blue broken glass pieces, 12v led, power input and on/off switch.
Advices
*If transparent broken glass is put into the led channel instead of the blue broken glass, the light transmittance will be better and it will give more light.
*While preparing the epoxy, preparing a lighter tone instead of dark blue as in the video will make the blue broken glass look better.
*When the LED heats up, make a hole in the bottom so that the hot air can be vented out. In the video, a hole was drilled to coincide with the bottom of the lamp leg, and the visuality was not deteriorated.

If you're asking about the tape I used in the mold preparation, it's a packaging tape.
Since epoxy resin is easily separated from materials such as silicone and plastic, it covers the surfaces of the parts that I will use as molds with packaging tape.

Great work can you tell me how large a hole should be drilled to vent and would you drill through bottom or side? I would think if hole was in bottom would you require a bit of elevation to raise the base up such as tabs or short legs on the base for air .

Teşekkürler, tek seferde dökersem içine koyduğum cam parçaları dibe çökecek arada kalmayacak.
Bazen ise içine birşey koymasakta bir kaç kat şeklinde dökeriz bunun sebebi ise döküm kalınlığı ve ortam sıcaklığının fazla olması, bu iki etken epoksinin ısınmasına sebep olarak sararma, çatlama ve baloncuk gibi problemlere sebep olabiliyor. Bundan dolayı döküm kalınlığının düşürülmesi için katlar halinde gidilmesi gerekiyor.

Might be a dumb question, when sanding, how do you know when to move on to the next grit? Are you looking for a look or feel?

Yes, a bit of appearance on coarse sanding may cause me to decide, but with finer sanding especially when wet sanding, the look doesn't do much, I just have to make sure I sand all over and move on to the next.
