Was waiting for this one, thanks!! Does it smell bad since it's wet ? Hope to see a how to do the “basic maintenance care” & “advanced maintenance care” things from the settings & more in the future!!
@@everythingandthekitchensink That made me feel better lol, I read some comments saying AutoClean is bad cuz it smells bad etc etc. Still waiting for mine to arrive btw.
Hello I have a similar model of dryer like yours. I wonder if I will put a fluff filter up like on others models, wouldn’t be better for fluff filtering, and with that on the bottom filters will not get so much fluff ?
I have quite a bit of water that escapes the tray & sits in a puddle at the bottom of the machine - Never sure whether to mop it out or not? I notice that you don’t appear to in your video. Thank you for such an informative video by the way 👍🏻 I’ve had this machine 6 months & have literally been making it up as I go along with the maintenance (Luckily it seems I’ve been doing it correctly!) Bosch don’t seem to provide much info with regards to recommended cleaning/maintenance processes.
Thanks for the feedback! I sometimes notice water in the bottom, I think it’s just if the machine hasn’t pumped it all back up to the top bit before the program ended and the empty fluff warning comes on. I wouldn’t worry about it.
I’ve noticed that too. The puddle never spills out but there’s so much water that I had to use a large bath towel to wipe it off. Bought about a month ago. Sometimes the puddle forms, other times it doesn’t in the container is only slightly damp. Other than that the dryer dries fine I hope that that’s by design 😅
I get the same issue with water puddle forming on the device bottom (under the lower filter)..lately it’s more and more water coming out (I use a sponge and it fills up a large bowl until the sponge starts to cake out not soaked) and actually the clean the filter message comes in after a couple washes, not more than 3. Is there a chance something further inside the machine has been clogged with fluff or something ?
Hi, I started to notice that the bottom area of that thing (under the condenser) started to go darker, and when I touch those it's all fluff that sticked to the ground and made it look darker. It's on the bottom part that water collects, hope you understand what i'm trying to say. Is this normal? Is yours started to go dark with fluff too?
Yep have same thing happening. I haven’t cleaned it out yet with a cloth but it’s just really fine fabric dust, don’t think it’s anything to worry about.
Hi again, regarding the cleaning of the filter in the very bottom, is there water underneath that as when I cleaned mine out (before the machine said to) after 2 drying cycles there was lots of water in the very bottom, took 2 tea towels to get it out! Is that normal? I thought this water gets pumped up into the drawer?
Hi! Totally normal I never bother trying to get it out. What could have happened is the machine didn’t get chance to pump up all the water before you turn it off or accessed it at the end? Don’t worry about it unless it’s flooding out, then it might be a technical problem
@@everythingandthekitchensink I have the very same problem. After every cycle i need to open the fluff compartment and remove the water and the fluffs, because the wet fluffs smell. Is it normal, the compartment to hold so much water in every cycle?
@@DarthCaster hi! I have no issues at all with smell or anything? There is plenty of wet fluff in the container but it does not cause a problem. I have just got back from almost two weeks away and used the dryer and no smell of anything (I did empty out the fluff before going but it was still damp)
Hi! Like my previous model it only tumbled in one direction. I don’t seem to have any issues with this when drying normal loads of clothes, but I still need up shop and shake out my king size bedding from time to time
Can you show us how to use a iron assistant program ? I tryed all 3 programs (1 shirt, 5 shirts, buissnes...) and nothing happend, clothes was wrinkled ☹️
Hi! To be honest, I found the same, I don’t think it’s a really good programme. Originally I thought it steamed the clothes, but from what I can tell it just sprays a mist of water on them as it warms them up and tumbles. Slightly disappointing.
Yes...and I bought this dryer because that extra feature and i was so happy i can reduce ironing....they sell product with extra setting that do not exist...
Yeah it's a no for me. I'd rather stick with the regular mesh filter behind the door and a sponge filter in front of the condenser. That looks very unhygienic and prone to growing mold.
Hi! Never had any issue with mold or smell. Been away for two weeks and left it and all ok. I use the dryer three four times a week so it needs emptying once a month or so.
I wish it was every 20 drying cycles. It asks for emptying the filter every 1-2 cycles even if it's quite clean :/ Also having Series 8 model. It's pretty unreliable, sometimes asks to clean the filter after 10 cycles, other times it throws errors every 1-2. I cleaned it more than 8 times in November, where it's advertised as 8 times a year with average use 3 times a week.
I have the Series 8 model too with this exact same problem - Bosch engineers couldn't seem to find the issue - sent me a replacement unit which still does the same thing and keeps asking to clean the filter - bizarre how it worked perfectly the first 20 cycles and then worked perfectly for 20 cycles after the engineer 'reset' the machine
@@DonJKz exactly my case, so after maybe 3rd visit of the technician, they finally gave up and suggested to return the device and get a full refund. I bought a competitors machine and all is good so far.
While watching this video: th-cam.com/video/mXfy2OzngJM/w-d-xo.html.. it appears the self-cleaning function isn't very effective. Aren't you concerned that the condenser might be quite dirty? Additionally, is there a fluff filter in the door?
Seems ok so far. Yes there is fluff in the door but nothing that causes an issue. Every so often I run the full clean cycle and this clears the condenser and I take the filter cover out the door and clean it out.
I have to say that mine stinks very bad, and I suppose it's because of the constant watter in it...smells like mold, I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina, so I'm not sure if I used the right word. Litterally, I have to clean it every single time after drying to prevent bad smells. I'm constantly reading and watching videos trying to figure it out if I'm doing anything wrong... 🥴😰😏
Oh that’s strange? I’ve not had that problem yet but I agree it always stays wet which could make the problem. How old is your machine? Mine is brand new so maybe it has not started yet?
@@mahiramerdzanovic601 Is yours an also AutoClean model with these same filters ? Are you sure your clothes are washed well before putting it into the dryer ? Are you using a fabric softener ?

When you remove your easyclean filter is there a pool of water waiting for you there?
Sometimes yes, but it does not seem to matter. I think it’s just that the pump hasn’t removed it all yet.
Hi, does the self cleaning condenser still hold up?
Working perfectly still… no issues, no smells, just working as normal. Looking at the actual condenser, looks perfectly clean. So pleased with it.
Awesome, thanks. I'm going to get the latest model.
I have had lots of fluff in the back of the dryer can see in the little holes how do you clean that out

Same problem here. I believe the heat of the condenser will evaporate the water. I use it 2 times a week and never have liking issues.
