2016 Vietnamese Fan Dance | Golden Lotus

Performing at Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa for the 2016 Lunar New Year
We are a student based group under the Vietnamese Student Association at the UofA known as Golden Lotus. We perform various traditional Vietnamese dances in our local community.This performance is know as the fan dance. It demonstrates elegance and beauty, which are a few of the important traits that make up a Vietnamese woman. The fans imitate the movement of water rippling, symbolizing purity and serenity.
