KBR National Park is full of flora and fauna and is a great place to unwind. In the park, there are over 600 different tree and plant species. It also has around 150 species of avifauna, as well as 20 reptile species and 20 mammal species. Butterflies come in 15 different varieties.
After receiving approval from the federal government, the state administration designated this area as a national park in 1998. Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park is named after the late Chief Minister.
The entire land belonged to the Nizam of Hyderabad and has since been under the control of the Forest Department. Nizam had sole ownership of approximately 11 acres of land. Later in 2010, the land acreage was reduced to 6 acres. Visitors are not permitted to enter this 6 acre plot of land because it is not part of the KBR park.
The Chiran Palace, the prince's and his family's residential residence, is one of the most significant sites in KBR Park, with a total area of 6,000 square metres. This castle was constructed in 1960. Prince Azam Jah gave it to his son Prince Mukarram Jah in 1967. The main gate of KBR National Park is not the same as the entrance gate to Chiran Palace. Gol Bungalow, Mor bungalow, stables for horses, elephants, and cattle, petrol station, wells and water tanks, motor khana, and other properties are all part of the same complex.
Timeing ; 5 to 9-30 am and 4 to 6-30 pm
Ticket: 40 rupees for adults, 20 for children
