I have always wanted to learn to fly helis. I tried it in the early 2000s and my flight lasted about 15 seconds. Airplanes are easy, full 3D drones are getting pretty easy.
Thanks buddy, yes it needs some tweaking. i am waiting for app and then i will set it up with Radiomaster TX16S and do Full manual 3D. I suspect its very sluggish due to radio controller. because its just a basic radio control
Quite tempted, here. Great looking non clownish colored canopy ,perfect size as it will fit under seat in Scooter, plus all the doodads would make it Fun. As always, you covered it all & it appears a solid bird. TY for peeks and your efforts for braving the Weather.
I would say wait till you see the 3 new helis coming out soon. wait for my reviews. UH60 BlackHawk, man, you will simply love it. That heli has served in many countries and many wars.

It’s probably toiletbowling because when inverted it doesn’t see the ground with the sensor. So it can only rely on the less precise gps. It has to keep moving for gps to figure out it’s position, and uses a circling algorithm.
alishanmao, I purchased this one because I want to fly around in my back yard and not hit the trees LOL I've been flying my Blade 230s but it needs just a little more room since it is not stable like a GPS helicopter. I know the guys at the field would just say fly a real helicopter so I will fly this one at home. I want to use this one to practice orientation skills. Nose in and sideways. I pretty much have the tail side under control.
thats the idea behind GPS helis. they help you learn orientation without crashing your heli. and in safe manners. once your orientation is clear, you can switch to manual mode and practice. and make mistake, just switch to GPS. thats is the point many people do not want to understand LOL have fun buddy
When I turn on my radio that came with the helicopter, just like the one you have here, the display indicates full battery but locked. Display shows a lock symbol and 00:00. Scrolling the switch has no effect. Do you have any idea what that may be? Cheers. Jerry
I have 2 of them. The boom is tin. Don't ask me how I know. The toilet bowl inverted I suspect is due to poor config. Hopefully we can fix with then app. Inverted it does not have access to the flow sensor on the ground. I accidentally had the RTH switch thrown while I was struggling to put the canopy on while holding teh TX. Took off and it just accelerated into the front of my house. That was its maiden it would not obey the controls. Caused lots of damage. I am awaiting parts. Doh.my second one is fine. The protocol says S-FH2S not S-FHSS dont know what it really is. Would like to try with my Futaba and my T16S. Will await a video from you on doing this.
maybe you got the earliest one, like mine. my first one had a flyaway, climbed to 50 meters and then held its position solid. then after 5 minutes turned off rotors and dropped like a turd LOL. 2nd one is really nice. Waiting for App and then will see what else we can find out about this heli. by the way flywing does say do not activate RTH when inverted hahaha. i tried it and my FW450 V2 landed inverted. it was a perfect inverted landing hahaha ever

If you get this RTF, the radio that it comes with has 100 meters range only. you can change the radio to ELRS or your own choice for long range. flight times easily 25 minutes.

You should check them out on TH-cam derren brown. He made a show in Europe with his skills. And Ross Jeffries. He teaches pick up artist technique using NLP. So I have a tendency to pick up on words ppl use

hey buddy, these models files are for TX16s only. if you import to another radio you will get some error messages and may not be able to import them, but you can copy the settings and make new models in other radios using these models settings. let me know if you have any more questions. :) Thank you so much for your support
I just bought one and it was flying great then out of nowhere it decided to tilt to the right felt like I had barely any control of it and on the inverted flying I noticed I has a bad wobbly but only inverted any idea?
@@alishanmao it was weird It started to drift a way and was hard to gain control had to crash it into a tree before it flew away any idea and yes I am joining your channel you are awesome 👌 👏 👍
@@davidlopez2487 in production models the GPS glitch has been reported. if anytime this happens, you can switch to 3D mode and get the controls back and land.

Hopefully they change the "crash me switch" to auto land if it is running. I mean why do we have to think of that!!! LOL But it's not unsimilar to the hold switch for other Helis. I've also seen it go down, in another video, if you are inverted and it engages return to home. That will be the first thing I turn off if they add that to the app.
its kind of failsafe. sometimes you really need a switch that will turn off the motor immediately to save others or save heli parts from breaking. During inverted if it engages RTH, it will make a perfect inverted landing. do not ever hit motor disarm switch if this happens, you just let it land, once its blade scraping, hit disarm switch and you will have no damage. if you see if landing inverted and hit disarm, it will fall and break parts. trust me, i did those inverted RTH landings and it was very accurate LOL, no parts broken. just blades scraped.
Ali I received mine last week. I download the android app and notice they left out the radio. Im have a strange problem every time I fly it around high in the air and try to land it soft it drop from 1ft to the ground . But if I fly it about 6ft off the ground and land it does a smooth landing. whats up with this.
Thanks for your videos. I bought this heli and have found that it topples over as it is spooling up to reach take-off. To get around this, I have to hold the left stick forward until it moves off the ground. This can't be right?
you can buy it any time you want, to me it seems its a good product already. upcoming app will fix many things as we can tweak settings. always welcome.
I bough mine after view your video and just received it. and it crashed in 2nd flight when i tried it's ACRO mode This how it happened. Can you see what is the issue causing the crash? 1. Full charged battery 1500mah, Took off in Stable mode. everything is good. 2. Flew around for 1 min. 3. Trying ACRO mode, flipped switch, heli motor RPM rising and auto ascending fast non stop up to like 90m. 4. Flipped back to Stable mode to gain back control and continue apply downward throttle stick, at around 70~60m, motor suddenly slowdown and stopped, Heli falling straight to ground.
FC Glitch, happened to my very first prototype, it went up out of control, slowly rising then stopped and slowly spinning holding a solid GPS and altitude hold at 50 meters or more altitude. Hovered there till battery finished then dropped like a turd :D and I took few pieces home

Thanks for the sub! and welcome to channel. Banggood sends with one battery only. I got the other one online. Tattu batteries 850mAh 3S easily available. but I suggest you get 3S 1500mAh Tattu battery. longer flight times
yes warming the batteries makes big difference. I do this for my electric paramotor in winter. I keep the battery pack warm in car using car heater and the put it in Paramotor before flight and it gives me better results. same with RC Planes and helis
@@alishanmao Orientation is not as big of a problem for GPS. The GPS signal reception is what the the chopper needs to mantain its position. That thick heavy clouds certainly reduce the GPS signal and the low db gain GPS antenna on H1 unit does not help.
Ali...You are a Class A Pilot and "Teacher"... As a NewBee in this Helicopter Sport it is imperative that you show the Transmitter Stick Movements while Flying as it helps ME tremendously.. Hi Ali, I just got my FW200 so far very impressed. However I noticed that in safe mode with blinking green it’s super docile, now once it acquired all gps solid green it’s actually becomes a little more challenging. Your thoughts are much appreciated, thank you!!
its not just that but it won't climb (locked altitude too) its a safety feature if full gps lock is not achieved. once full GPS lock is achieved it gives you more controls

Bigger ones are easier to control and better in many ways. but smaller ones, you can even fly indoors and practice when outside weather is bad. so it seems smaller are better for now. choice is all yours.

In smart aerobatics mode, when it’s inverted, are the controls normal (like how it would be in manual 3d mode) or “corrected” to behave like it’s not inverted? Hope that question makes sense?

you need to find a compatible Spektrum SBUS Receiver and may need to modify the connectors to fit or splice the cables and solder. then you can use your DX radios
you can use Futaba. its SFHSS protocol. i will do a video later to bind it to TX16S and configuration. its just simple airplane setup with few switches to control H1 V2 modes
Ali,when flying inverted in Acro mode and the heli is doing the toilet bowl effect is it possible it is doing this while inverted because the camera is pointing at the sky and has nothing to lock on to ??

Hi, my Fw200 also makes “toilet bowl” movement. May I know what is the reason for this? Also why does it take so long for GPS to lock and is that anyway this case be improved?
Where's the app ? I have the same issue,.it flies great for a minute or two and then the green status led flashes , the helicopter wobbles but lands. I thought it was the main rotor blades. When I recieved the copter the blades were too tight to unfold. I figured it was like that for safe shipping. I loosened them.so the blades can balance. Not sure what's.going.on. Where can I get the app ? Nothing in play store or fly wings website.
I figured the wobble problem out! After 3 successfull flights I can say it's fixed. What you need to do is get the heli hex driver that was supplied with the copter, get a lighted magnifying glass or a magnifying glass and work in a brightly lit area. Flip the copter upside down, look at the main blade screws, they should be just about flush with the locknut. Back off until you see the ridge of them locknut. Next work.the blades back and forth until they can move freely.. not a full swing like a typical helicopter.. it a small 30 degree ish swing. Not like my wltoys copter... The reason why the green status light flashes is because the blades are out of balance. You want the toilet bowl effect for a soft landing. The more you fly the fw200 the faster the gps locks will become. It used to take my.copter three minutes to get a lock. Now after 7 flights it takes only a minute. Good luck, hopefully it works for you.
I like the size but all the GPS stuff takes the fun out of flying helis, sorry but just buy a drone. Now I would like one and take all that stuff out put a Ikon FBL in and have a fun heli!
See you are not being positive here, too much negativity in your words my friend. if you watch the video again you will see it has a full manual mode that disengages GPS and Positioning completely. and then its a normal direct drive 3D helicopter. having to have GPS is a life saver, when you fly full manual 3D and you make a mistake, switch it to GPS or smart acro and it will stabilize. look at this awesome product again my friend with positivity.
@@alishanmao not being negative at all, speaking truth. See the problem is it will teach you nothing. It’s a heli not a drone. It won’t tech you to hover or learn the basics as it does it for you. What’s the point? I’m one of the most positive people and do a a lot for this hobby but this is not a heli anymore it’s a drone. People are going to buy this heli and think they can fly helis now! Great but when they move on to a bigger better heli they will destroy it.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 its a matter of opinion buddy. i would say a majority of people just want to be able to fly and enjoy a helicopter. only few or a very little percentage wants to move to seriously learn to fly helicopters, those of course would have choice for full manual on this helicopter after they have corrected their orientation in GPS mode. and they can keep on learning and keep on practicing. so i would say this is one hell of a good product for beginners to learn to fly, (Not 3D of course, but just to learn to fly, control and correct their orientation) then learn to fly 3D using its manual mode, should they want to proceed to non gps helis. those who just want to enjoy flying rc helis, they really do not care about learning or moving to bigger better helis.
@@alishanmao how about this. U showed it will limit the elevation if it don’t have all the satellites. Will it do that on indoor flight too? Do think the company will change that function? I want to order one but the restriction on elevation is a turn off. What if I’m out in an area with little to no satellite coverage? am I condemned to only fly 3 feet off the ground and no 3d?

when you fly these, you have to be careful and warn others around. best to fly at clubs or far from people

inverted flight, the GPS is facing down so its not too stable. but new firmware updates might help if any.

I bough mine after view your video and just received it. and it crashed in 2nd flight when i tried it's ACRO mode This how it happened. Can you see what is the issue causing the crash?
1. Full charged battery 1500mah, Took off in Stable mode. everything is good.
2. Flew around for 1 min.
3. Trying ACRO mode, flipped switch, heli motor RPM rising and auto ascending fast non stop up to like 90m.
4. Flipped back to Stable mode to gain back control and continue apply downward throttle stick, at around 70~60m, motor suddenly slowdown and stopped, Heli falling straight to ground.
FC Glitch, happened to my very first prototype, it went up out of control, slowly rising then stopped and slowly spinning holding a solid GPS and altitude hold at 50 meters or more altitude. Hovered there till battery finished then dropped like a turd :D and I took few pieces home

Thanks for the sub! and welcome to channel. Banggood sends with one battery only. I got the other one online. Tattu batteries 850mAh 3S easily available. but I suggest you get 3S 1500mAh Tattu battery. longer flight times

yes warming the batteries makes big difference. I do this for my electric paramotor in winter. I keep the battery pack warm in car using car heater and the put it in Paramotor before flight and it gives me better results. same with RC Planes and helis

The toilet bowl movement you've got there because there is no optical flow sensor on the top of the chopper
also because GPS is facing downwards LOL
@@alishanmao Orientation is not as big of a problem for GPS. The GPS signal reception is what the the chopper needs to mantain its position. That thick heavy clouds certainly reduce the GPS signal and the low db gain GPS antenna on H1 unit does not help.

Hi Ali, I just got my FW200 so far very impressed. However I noticed that in safe mode with blinking green it’s super docile, now once it acquired all gps solid green it’s actually becomes a little more challenging. Your thoughts are much appreciated, thank you!!
its not just that but it won't climb (locked altitude too) its a safety feature if full gps lock is not achieved. once full GPS lock is achieved it gives you more controls

Bigger ones are easier to control and better in many ways. but smaller ones, you can even fly indoors and practice when outside weather is bad. so it seems smaller are better for now. choice is all yours.

In smart aerobatics mode, when it’s inverted, are the controls normal (like how it would be in manual 3d mode) or “corrected” to behave like it’s not inverted? Hope that question makes sense?

you need to find a compatible Spektrum SBUS Receiver and may need to modify the connectors to fit or splice the cables and solder. then you can use your DX radios
I see you can buy without transmitter. So do you know if I can use my Futaba 14SG and set all the switches like that white transmitter
you can use Futaba. its SFHSS protocol. i will do a video later to bind it to TX16S and configuration. its just simple airplane setup with few switches to control H1 V2 modes

Ali,when flying inverted in Acro mode and the heli is doing the toilet bowl effect is it possible it is doing this while inverted because the camera is pointing at the sky and has nothing to lock on to ??
because GPS and Optical flow both are looking at ground.

Where's the app ? I have the same issue,.it flies great for a minute or two and then the green status led flashes , the helicopter wobbles but lands.
I thought it was the main rotor blades. When I recieved the copter the blades were too tight to unfold. I figured it was like that for safe shipping. I loosened them.so the blades can balance.

It takes 3 minutes for gps lock. The airplanes I built with a Betian 220 GPS squires a lock much faster than the fw220
I am still having toilet bowl movements and long gps detection times even after compass calibration
I figured the wobble problem out! After 3 successfull flights I can say it's fixed. What you need to do is get the heli hex driver that was supplied with the copter, get a lighted magnifying glass or a magnifying glass and work in a brightly lit area. Flip the copter upside down, look at the main blade screws, they should be just about flush with the locknut. Back off until you see the ridge of them locknut. Next work.the blades back and forth until they can move freely.. not a full swing like a typical helicopter.. it a small 30 degree ish swing. Not like my wltoys copter... The reason why the green status light flashes is because the blades are out of balance. You want the toilet bowl effect for a soft landing.
The more you fly the fw200 the faster the gps locks will become. It used to take my.copter three minutes to get a lock. Now after 7 flights it takes only a minute.

I like the size but all the GPS stuff takes the fun out of flying helis, sorry but just buy a drone. Now I would like one and take all that stuff out put a Ikon FBL in and have a fun heli!
See you are not being positive here, too much negativity in your words my friend. if you watch the video again you will see it has a full manual mode that disengages GPS and Positioning completely. and then its a normal direct drive 3D helicopter. having to have GPS is a life saver, when you fly full manual 3D and you make a mistake, switch it to GPS or smart acro and it will stabilize. look at this awesome product again my friend with positivity.
@@alishanmao not being negative at all, speaking truth. See the problem is it will teach you nothing. It’s a heli not a drone. It won’t tech you to hover or learn the basics as it does it for you. What’s the point? I’m one of the most positive people and do a a lot for this hobby but this is not a heli anymore it’s a drone. People are going to buy this heli and think they can fly helis now! Great but when they move on to a bigger better heli they will destroy it.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 its a matter of opinion buddy. i would say a majority of people just want to be able to fly and enjoy a helicopter. only few or a very little percentage wants to move to seriously learn to fly helicopters, those of course would have choice for full manual on this helicopter after they have corrected their orientation in GPS mode. and they can keep on learning and keep on practicing. so i would say this is one hell of a good product for beginners to learn to fly, (Not 3D of course, but just to learn to fly, control and correct their orientation) then learn to fly 3D using its manual mode, should they want to proceed to non gps helis. those who just want to enjoy flying rc helis, they really do not care about learning or moving to bigger better helis.

@@alishanmao how about this. U showed it will limit the elevation if it don’t have all the satellites. Will it do that on indoor flight too? Do think the company will change that function? I want to order one but the restriction on elevation is a turn off. What if I’m out in an area with little to no satellite coverage? am I condemned to only fly 3 feet off the ground and no 3d?
