This song wasn’t misogynistic people just throw out words … acting like they haven’t been sexualizing jk since he was 15 and shipping him with almost every remember. Fandom needed a cleanse.
Yes
Romance shippers are very delusional iv commented on many a shippers channel they need help
It upsets me jk is the brunt of shippers same with Tae I think it’s these taekookers are delusional
I said the same exact thing… they took jacks rap out of context and completely missed the point of him calling himself a whore lol his past self… and how now he’s waiting for his long distance chick .. to be in real life… physical in 3 D
@@suepage8977 not even those though it’s with jimin and everyone I always come accords friendly bts moments that take it out of context and slow it down and .. makes it so weird. They are literal brothers and sexualizing these relationships are gross
just bc jk doesn't speak English fluently, doesn't mean he doesn't understand. I cant speak Spanish due to confidence and not knowing grammar well, but I can read and understand it. He knows what's up.
Exactly. I don't think people realize that they're tip-toeing on that line between racist and not racist, once they start questioning JK's intelligence. Then, there's babying and infantilizing him (which is a common racist stereotype for Asian men), by declaring he doesn't know what the song is about... As if HYBE/Big Hit don't have anyone to translate the lyrics to him, if needed.
@@mimiandy1683 he knows exactly whats going on. He wants to break out of the baby cooky image. he was smoking and looking right at the camera recently bc he does not care. they all need to be like Jackson Wang and have zero cares.
Twitter was a nightmare, i had to take a break I couldn’t believe how they were treating Jk, he doesn’t deserve this. It’s so much hate that he’s receiving day by day even his own fandom 😢
I’m glad I’m not on twitter because I’d be defending my kings all the time 💜💜💜
exactly! it was an entire mess. thankfully i haven't seen much more of it.
Right, that’s why ever since jk released seven I left twitter. Armys are turning into jk antis just because he’s finally acting like an adult and singing about sex/girls, they want him to stay a baby and when he doesn’t fit their expectations, they turn against him. We need a fandom cleanse, even jungkook said on stationhead that the door is always open for people to leave because the only people he cares for are those that support him
@@Jneutron_0102so you think that the lyrics breakdown is from a solo, lol Jose is w army,
Solo must be harrasing other members or tagging bh or newsmedia bcz they are allegedly getting mistreatment from company lol
JK killed it! So did the dance crew! JK can say sexy dirty things and he still comes off classy! JH sounded trashy. No hate. Just don't care for him.
This is why nobody can enjoy music anymore, because everyone is just reaching for a reason to get triggered and drag an artist and their music. If you do not like the artist or song, just move along like any normal person. Or in this case, just listen to the alternative version! No need to start a crusade and potentially ruin somebody's livelihood with something just as simple as an accusation.
Agreed
I completely agree. It just reminds me of the War of Hormone situation.
exactly
@@crystalsnow1138 yeah
i agree, i’m not a fan of jack’s verse so i’ll be listening to the alternate version 🤷🏻♀️ problem solved
In Brazil, Funk music can be vulgar and objectify women, so many people are finding Jack Harlow's lyrics acceptable. They're using it to defend 3D by claiming there's worse music out there. But I don't listen to that genre, it's not my taste. I fell in love with BTS precisely because they're different. I love that JK talks about sex, the alternative version is great for me, I loved "Seven". What bothered me a lot were Jack Harlow's lyrics and the MV, where they placed expressionless women clearly uncomfortable in a line. Only those who have experienced harassment know what that feels like. It's when a man makes a joke, belittles you, and you freeze in fear. It felt like a horror movie to me, they just needed to add a shipping container to represent that bizarre scene. Not to mention that here in Brazil, women are killed daily by men who think they own them, treating them as disposable objects. So, in my opinion, this kind of music doesn't do any good for the world.
True. I expect better from Jungkook.
"where they placed expressionless women clearly uncomfortable in a line. Only those who have experienced harassment know what that feels like."
Clearly? I don't think so. Just because they aren't smiling doesn't necessarily mean they are uncomfortable. You are just projecting your feelings onto them, but I understand why you're doing that and I'm sorry you many other people had to go through/are still going through harassment.
Idk Jungkook verses didn’t bother me at all, but Jack Harlows verses made me uncomfortable and gave me the ick. I’m a female and I hate that other women who say they feel uncomfortable too are getting called prudes, or not true fans, or don’t understand the lyrics. I understand that people are frustrated with people going overboard with their hatred for the song and I don’t think that’s productive at all.
On the other hand, I feel like people on the opposite side are going overboard as well. It’s ridiculous that people are dismissing people’s feelings towards the ABG line, lots of women find it derogatory and you can’t dismiss their opinions by saying they’re too sensitive. Also I’m sick and tired of men using words like thot, whore, slut etc, it’s gross.
I just think it’s crazy that people are so extreme on both sides and can’t sympathise, or at least try to understand people’s constructive criticism. Twitters like a bunch of children fighting with each other. Whether or not you think the song is misogynistic or not, it’s disgusting to see some people be misogynistic in defence of the song. It’s like when an idol dose something racist or ignorant and “fans” become raging racists themselves.
People just need to touch grass and speak to a real person and delete twitter.
It's ok not to feel comfortable. I think one of the reasons a lot of people who were called were people that said certain things before that that were even worse. A lot of them are ff writers with stories about him and an other member and was a lot of s*x in that or people who wrote under older post things like ''I want to be in my knees for you'' Or something like that. But the moment JK sang about a girl everyone got upset.
Agreed
@@hollyatwtverbotene Really? People were writing things like that? I thought shippers who posted on YT were bad enough and I chuck them in the "Do not recommend this channel" rubbish bin so they don't show on my feed. I'm kinda glad I decided early on that I do not have time for the nonsense on Twitter and never went on it. I'm just glad the members are too busy making music and their channel's content to pay attention to this stuff.
THIS
There's a perfectly appropriate word for men who "explain" things to women who have more knowledge, experience, and expertise. My field of expertise, my education, my life's work, and my personal lived experience gives me more than enough qualifications to say that Harlow's words and the imagery in the video are blatantly misogynistic. Having content creators, whose success literally depends on them finding BTS unimpeachable in everything they do, try to explain to ME that I just don't understand, is both patronizing and insulting to my intelligence.
"Harlow's words and the imagery in the video are blatantly misogynistic."
They're not, but to each their own
"Having content creators, whose success literally depends on them finding BTS unimpeachable in everything they do, try to explain to ME that I just don't understand, is both patronizing and insulting to my intelligence."
I disagree. Just because someone doesn't know or understand one thing and needs to have it explained to them doesn't make them dumb. When someone doesn't understand something, someone else gives them an explanation, idk about you but that doesn't sound like an insult to intelligence in my opinion.
We all heard his ambition to master various genres as a soloist. I think he just started with what he's good at. I am very happy for him breaking the certain level of expections from cute Maknae image. I also thought some fans want to keep him in the prison only singing Dynamite, Butter, Still with you and Spring day. I am not against them because those songs are also great ones and he could live and sing only such kinds of songs for them. But, I really want to see him achieving his goals as a solo artist without such kind of limitations. I could see his huge amount of practice and efforts to record this great song. I really hope to see him achieving his goals as a soloist. I am sure he could be a great artist in history. Sorry for my English, it's not my first language :)
From the first line and the first line of Jacks last verse it's pretty obvious the song is about phone smex and that he wants to meet her in person but she doesn't have to do anything when they meet if she doesn't want
I was listening and went to twitter to see the reactions and I saw soo much hate it threw me off. Like this entire situation was beyond stupid. I loved the song and anyone else can just be grumpy in silence. 🙄
It only became big when we tried to explain why the song isn't misogynistic at all. It's better to enlighten people on why it isn't misogynistic than do nothing at all.
I think that people should engage in constructive criticism and not feel pressured to not state there opinions. People are spewing hatred from both sides and that’s not productive at all. People are so decisive these days and see opposing opinions as attacks, it’s sad
I am mostly referring to those who were grouping all Americans together as if being from a specific country means you are vulgar and unacceptable. If you dislike Rap fine but there are rappers from every country. anyone can have an opinion but when it is targeting and downright unhelpful at that point yes be grumpy in silence. @@atjad
@@nycarriapainter270Right, cuz all of us aren't that bad, but I do understand that Americans, especially living in White America, excluding Native Americans, we have adopted such a culture that Many of us have become more or less eurocentric and explicit in Nature, abandoning some our Organic Roots, and Living as we do now. And again not everything is bad or negative, but to most foreigners that already has their culture since day one, and their traditions and whatnot they do not understand as a foreigner a lot of Western, and you know what type of Western I mean without actually putting race in it, but Western culture versus the Eastern sides and such.
And the language barriers still exists for many foreigners, so there's that, and many things can still get misconstrued until otherwise.😅
@@bulletproofwaafle7770 yeah I’m an African American so I understand where the judgement can come from but it’s important to realize bad people exist in all races and regions across the world. Not simply in America. I also get the language barrier can leave things up to interpretation. As someone studying Korean, a lot of things do simply get lost in translation.
I think it is misogynistic 100%! Not impressed. I am not going to go into details....if you knew my past you would understand. It made me physically nauseated. I will be watching the alternative version
I’m noticing one of the issues these days is people throwing words out without really understanding the meaning. Another issue is people saying a man cannot talk about misogyny and feminism. A man who stands with women can talk about and fight for women’s issues and rights just as women talk about men. It’s called being an ally.
Now, I get it that there are people who feel uncomfortable with the song, parts of the song, whatever. Their feelings are valid. What Jose (op) and Seb are doing here is dissecting the lyrics where it is being misunderstood. If you still feel uncomfortable then okay. Granted, to those who would rather just be upset and don’t care to hear what other people say, then maybe consider asking yourself what exactly is bothering you. It’s like if you’re at a debate refusing to hear the rebuttal. That is not a debate. That’s you wanting to hear yourself.
Again, I’m not invalidating those who don’t like the song, I’m just saying that people should actually listen and understand something before going cancel mode. This goes for all music. Also, learn the actual meanings of words and how to use it before just throwing it out.
Agreed with you
Completely agree, while I’m on the side where I don’t particularly like the lyrics in Jack Harlows verses and they give me a bit of an ick, I hate that people are so decisive and are unwilling to listen to other opinions and are completely against to engage in a constructive dialogue.
@@atjad Yeah, I definitely understand it making you feel that way. I honestly felt that, too, at first. Then I looked into the lyrics and I was could see the same interpretation Jose did. Some people (especially on this video’s comment section) just want to force their opinions on others instead of having an actual discussion.
THANK YOU for this comment💜

FACTS
@@riizecenterfree speech is a two way street, no? ✌️
I just want to say that I believe some of the criticism is valid and deserves to be heard, it's not just "haters", people getting triggered for no reason or because people want JK to stay cute and innocent forever.
I have a few points: Jack Harlow's rap part is just not good, like he rhymed took with took, body with body and story with story??? That’s just lazy und uncreative. It’s bad even when you ignore how degrading it is. And it is degrading. I mean how he literally lined up women, sorry but WTF? Yes he's only talking about himself but he's still portraying that behavior (having sex with lots of different women and basically reducing them to sexual objects) as something cool and positive. It's not positive and I don't want to listen to that. I do think it's misogynistic and I'm not saying that lightly, I understand why other people use that word.
Apart from that, the song just seems very shallow and manufactured. The reason I like BTS so much is exactly because it's not manufactured. 3D is like the type of mainstream pop music I actively avoid, and which made me turn to BTS instead because BTS was never like this, not even the English songs. Like imagine if 3D was your first impression of him, you wouldn't be able to get a sense of an identity from him. I mean what is the message here? He likes to f*ck? Ok? That's just not that interesting, yes people like to f*ck. We know that. There's no subtlety, no nuance, no story. It's not "mature" either, more like a teenage boy bragging. And I actually like sexy music - when it’s seductive, sensual, cheeky… you know like Pied Piper or Like Crazy or Want by Taemin. But not like 3D. It doesn't really show his amazing talents in singing and dancing either. Like there is nothing in this song that sets it apart or that is new or fresh, it seems more like a pop song made by an old white dude that thinks this is what a hit sounds like. I'm genuinely disappointed.
The first part of your comment about the rhyming I agree with. But that's the only part that's was off putting for me
Also he's saying that's how he used to be and that he wants to change😊
Well said
"Jack Harlow's rap part is just not good, like he rhymed took with took, body with body and story with story??? That’s just lazy und uncreative."
Wow you really didn't pay attention to the verse at all 🤦♀️
Here, let me make it easy for you:
I'm on my Jung KOOK
Take a chick off one LOOK
And when they get took they don't ever get unTOOK
When I seen that body you would think it was a dead body they I told my boys come LOOK
I used to take girls up the the Stoney BROOK
And steal they hearts like some CROOK
True story
Now when I hold somebody's hand it's a new STORY
All my ABGs get cute FOR ME.
Lazy and uncreative? I don't think so.

There's nothing to ignore because it's not degrading. He was talking about himself in a NEGATIVE light and how he used to be. Whore is not a positive word you call someone. Why would he call his old self a whore and mean it in a positive way?????
And if you don't want to listen to it then don't listen to it. You don't need to announce to anyone what you want or don't want to do. Just do it or don't

I’m sorry but Jose explaining self explanatory lyrics like we are stupid omg that was cringe. We know and couldn’t care less the sexy topic. It’s just the non clever kinda generic rap (objectifying women, lining them up, use of hoes and thots, got you on camera type of lyrics Harlow brought that we didn’t see fitting to the song’s rather playful wording. I like Jose but we are all adults here and if someone is saying Jk is a child and innocent (or felt offended) can you think for a moment that this most likely a child or young teen commenting??? I see so many people replying to these comments very crassly… just remember these comments are coming from kids. Jose thinks we adults are scandalized by talking about sex?? Thats what we do all day, don’t worry man we get it. Probably is a bunch of kids tweeting away and I would just ignore. Hope Jk ignore the hate but does listen to constructive criticism.
3D is a song about long-distance relationships. In the lyrics, Jungkook and Jack Harlow explain how they miss the reality dimension: they interact with this girl mainly on a screen, in two dimensions, and they obviously want it more real. 3D refers to the dimension they would have if they actually met.
A collaboration that spans from the USA to South Korea is the perfect excuse to talk about long-distance for the two artists. Jack Harlow makes it explicit at the end of 3D lyrics, when he says he would gladly invite his girl from South Korea to Kentucky, his birthplace in the United States, just to see what happens.
I’ll fly you from Korea to Kentucky
And you ain’t gotta guarantee me nothing I just wanna see if I get lucky
I just wanna meet you in the physical and see if you would touch me The detailed aspects of a long-distance relationship are explained in many parts of the lyrics: 3D talks about interacting through a phone, playing on camera, flirting, and stimulating each other. This obviously feeds the desire, and that’s what Jungkook and Jack Harlow express in the song. They wish they could have the third dimension, make it real, and see how it would feel.
I can’t touch you through the phone
Or kiss you through the universe
But when there’s two dimensions
There’s only one I’m missin’ The song then becomes an invitation to dare. “If you are ready,” says the chorus, we can make it happen. We can physically meet and celebrate our connection. Without pressure, just freely seeing what happens.
So if you’re ready (So if you’re ready)
And if you’ll let me (And if you’ll let me)
I wanna see it in motion
In 3D (Uh-uh)
In the lyrics of 3D, there are some expressions that not everybody knows, taken from urban slang. Let’s discover their meaning: Champagne confetti: this refers to small pieces of colorful paper or other lightweight materials that are used to celebrate special occasions, particularly during events where champagne is served. They can come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, and are commonly used at weddings, New Year’s Eve parties, birthdays, and other celebratory events. The term “champagne” in this context is used to denote a sense of luxury and celebration, as champagne is often associated with special occasions and festivities. The confetti themselves do not necessarily have any direct connection to actual champagne. In the song, the expression explains how the protagonists would celebrate if they met in real life.
Other terms are sexual climax or orgasm.
ABG/ABGs: This is taken from urban slang; Jack Harlow uses this term to indicate his Asian girls, who get pretty for him. According to Urban Dictionary, an ABG is “an Asian girl who’s typically identified by tattoos, revealing clothing, fake eyelashes, heavy makeup, long nails and long dyed hair.” In the context of the song, Jack Harlow uses this term because he’s texting his girl in South Korea and brags about the Asian girls he had in life.
Stony Brook: it’s a place in Louisville, Kentucky, where Jack Harlow was born; Jack Harlow brags about all the girls he took there, stealing their hearts like a bad boy (a crook). Therefore, this is the real meaning behind the lyrics of 3D: talking to you through this long distance is killing me; I want to meet you for real. I want to celebrate our encounter and see freely what will happen. If you are ready, we can do it anytime. 😉 let’s stream 3D

Even though I'm not really a fan of BTS anymore and just specifically Jungkook because of the route his solo work has taken where it's all English, sounds like a western song instead of kpop, and with lyrics not like Spring Day or Love Yourself but constantly about sex, people are way too sensitive about things and it's really annoying. If you don't like a song, just do what I do and don't listen to it. Simple. Don't be annoying and make a big deal about something.
you know people want the whole world to think the way they do so...
It's maturity that people lack.
ARMYs have always expressed their thoughts about songs being released and it's normal for a person to simply tweet that they didn't like the song for some reason. Members often ask “how do you like the song?/Did you like the song?/What do you think about the song?” they care about the feedback, no matter what it is. I’m also surprised by people who say “if you don’t like it, then shut up”, because when a blogger makes a reaction to a BTS song on TH-cam and says that he doesn’t like it (for some reason), everyone treats it absolutely calmly and respects him for that he does not fake his emotions... so how is this different from a simple tweet or comment¿it’s a double game. The Fan does not insult the Artist and does not “throw mud at him”, does not tell him what he should do and what not, he simply expresses his thoughts and feelings about songs (which is important for members).
I’m 63 and found BTS in 2019 and absolutely love them. To me they dared to be different. I was never into rap and I am more for the vocal line but I love the way they incorporate rap into their songs. Even some of what I call full on rap I have got to like. My bias is Jin but I have loved seeing all the members on their solo ventures. They all have different music tastes which shows in their work. I so admire them for doing what they wanted to do. I don’t understand how anyone who claims to be a fan can want a member to fail, surely you want them all 2 succeed.
My favourite album from a solo is SUGA’s followed by V.
I love JK ‘s 2 songs 3D being my favourite but like some others I am not keen on the feature. After hearing the alternative I think JK could have done it himself but taking that he didn’t write the song he was happy for Jack to do it.
I would like to think he is mature enough to say no if he didn’t like it.
I have put in other reactors that I prefer the alternative and got some really nasty comments.
If we all liked the same thing the world would be a boring place.
Everyone enjoy the rest of the solo work it won’t be long until they are all doing their military service. Roll on 2024 when hopefully JIn can do a solo album. Here’s to 2025 when they are all back together with hopefully renewed energy for the next chapter. Xxx💜💜💜💜💜

I've been getting dragged across multiple platforms for defending this song and jack's verse. There is absolutely nothing wrong with anything he said in the song. I genuinely believe people weren't even actually listening to the song and were just prepared to find something wrong with it. It's almost as if some people have zero comprehension skills. It makes it so hard to actually enjoy music nowadays because there's always some negative discourse about SOMETHING. People will always find a problem in any and everything and it's genuinely so irritating. If you don't like the song, cool okay, don't listen to it. If for whatever reason, you don't like jack's verse, listen to the alternate version. It's so sad to see how much negativity people have surrounded this song with.
There was nothing misogynist about this song, point blank period. If for whatever reason, someone felt offended by any of the lyrics of this song, then that is their problem, not Jk's. Before we all know it, we won't have any music to listen to if people are upset over things like this (there's literally nothing wrong with the song). It's absolutey ridiculous and childish. I believe because sex is such a taboo topic in the kpop world, people are having a hard time accepting that JK (a grown man) has decided to make music about it. News flash, half of the western music industry makes music about sex. Sex is normal, it's how humans are created. Also, a lot of kpop songs talk about sex and y'all just choose to ignore it or y'all don't bother to look into the lyrics because it's in another language. This leads me to believe that most kpop stans don't listen to anything outside of kpop. Is that an issue? Yes and no. You are entitled to listen to the type of genre of music you like, but you cannot be utterly shocked when you hear something that isn't "kpop coded" or something outside of kpop. These men are not little boys anymore, they have every right to make the music that they want to, and sing/rap about anything they desire. If you can't accept that, then don't listen to it.
If Jk's music isn't for you, then don't listen to it. Stop trying to get other people to not like it with you just because you have a hard time talking about sex. Once again, that's not Jk's problem. No one is forcing y'all to listen to Seven or 3D. Just because you're a fan doesn't mean you have to like every song, and that's what y'all seem to not understand.
I feel like this guy in his analysis failed to mention the versus that most people _actually_ have a problem with. For example, he skipped over an entire line before the ABG's verse that went "When I seen that body, you would think it was a dead body
The way I told my boys, "Come look." Like... I don't blame people for thinking that's a really gross line.
Not to mention Jack literally uses the word "Thots," which even the dictionary acknowledges as a derogatory word used against women who have had various sexual encounters, which there inherently is nothing wrong with at all. (And like why are there so many degrading words specifically used for women?) So yes, using such a word stemming from misogyny, is indeed misogynistic. It's not just a matter of people throwing around an overused word in this case. This is what I believe people have a problem with rather than Jungkook's verses and people not allowing him to be a grown man etc etc.
And small side notes, for 17:11, just because a lot of things have underlying misogyny in it, doesn't mean it's wrong for people to still point it out? Like I'm not really sure where you were going with that thought before mentioning how women can also perpetuate the cycle of misogyny. Which is true, but using a form of whataboutism when it's not relevant to the topic at hand, isn't really it, my guy. But for the most part, I can acknowledge you as a pretty cool dude with lots of good vibes to give.
Wait yall don’t get the dead body line? It’s a reference to boyz in the hood movie. He’s not comparing a girl’s body to a literal corpse lmaoo.

The lyrics of this should be dissected as much as dynamite and butter were… the lyrics didn’t mean anything in those songs either lol they were just fun catchy bops… and that’s exactly what this is. Anybody calling jungkook who they’ve seen for over a decade be the most humble, kind, considerate, respectful and supportive human on the planet, misogynistic or anything like that just shows you were never army in the first place.

The real question is when women say something makes them uncomfortable who are you to say that they’re wrong?? Surely we can all be mature enough to realize that defending our faves is not worth silencing oppressed voices?? We can still love JK and his music while simultaneously respecting criticism towards him. He is a human being but the power and influence he holds is so massive so it is important and necessary for conversations to be had about what messages he is emitting to the world.
THIS!!!! what jungkook has done with this song is basically influence and inspire so many upcoming artists who look up to him that misogyny in their songs are fine. his demographic is filled with young adults, mostly women. to see him allow such a message on his song is so disappointing

People are saying that those of us who don't like/ cant listen to JH verse and who are only streaming the alternative version are sabotaging JK on purpose but that's wrong. Some people are also saying jH is misogynistic that's wrong too. These people are getting misogyny and objectification mixed. Which is not fair to either artist. Misogyny stems from the oppression subordination and hatred of women. Which is nowhere to be found in the song from either artist. Objectification on the other hand is the act of treating a person like a tool to be used. Objectification stems from lack of empathy or ignorance and immaturity in some form. Which is present in HJ verse especially. Both are unacceptable. However one is harsher than the other. And for those who would say it's the same thing, there is a reason there needs to be a distinction because while objectification is part of misogyny misogyny is not always part of objectification. To put it simply misogyny is deeply rooted in a hateful patriarchal societal worldview whereas the objectification of women can be unlearned with empathy growth and maturity. I don't know about JH but I do know the kind of man jk is JK is not a hateful person by any means! yes objectification of women is not acceptable and JK is wrong for allowing that personally I hope he seeks to educate himself like RM did in the past to better himself. However connecting jk with the word misogyny is wrong.
Also champagne confetti think about it 😅 it's not hard to guess. At least we know jk definitely isn't a selfish person in certain areas 🤣
Finally someone who gets it. Objectification, not misogyny
Seeing how many ppl that had an issue with jack's verse made me realize how desensitized I am to rap bc his verse is so tame. I was mainly listening to hiphop before getting into bts (don't get me wrong I still do), I'm not a fan jack harlow in particular but I know enough about him to know that he is a very unserious person and rapper his lyrics are not meant to be dissected this heavily on top of everyone of pushing their own beliefs onto his verse but I don't think his verse was misogynistic I just think ppl are heavily misinterpreting and over analyzing his lyrics.
I totally agree with this video. People just put hate in this song. I believe it have around 15 million views on TH-cam, it definitely worth more and that. Guess what times change. Those things aren't acceptable in this generation. Will be enjoying the alter. version
nothing will change the fact that jack’s verse had some very unnecessary parts that made a lot of people feel uncomfortable.. people will get mad when in 2023 someone releases a song and uses those terms towards women. after all these terms are disrespectful and misogynistic.
no hate to you or anyone, but i feel like it’s important to understand that people will have very different opinions on this song, and that’s ok.

14:34 exactly, now the actual misogynists are going to use situations like this as their excuse as to why not listen to complaints about actual misogyny.
idk why you as a man are speaking on misogyny?? if women felt uncomfortable, spoke up about it, and said it’s misogynistic, then you as a man should not be refuting that. while I do think some people are going overboard with saying HOW badly jack’s verse is problematic, it’s still misogynistic and objectifying of a MAN to call women THOTS and have them line up for him like they’re candy for him to devour. We get it, he called himself a whore. y’all need to stop using that as y’alls defense mechanism. and “rap is like this” is also a horrible defense mechanism. I’m black myself and reducing a whole genre down to being misogynistic is so anti-black, all in defense of a white man’s misogyny. Jack Harlow has a long history of being misogynistic, and jumping on a song with jungkook does not exempt him from that, especially when his verse on the song is like his others: misogynistic and gross.
As a woman who has experienced misogyny, being used by men, being objectified, I can tell you jack harlow’s verse is very misogynistic and objectifying combined with the visuals on his part, and just because not all fans feel this way, doesn’t mean the other half who feel offended and uncomfortable need to be silenced. “no. duh.” in the title like you could ever experience or know misogyny like women do is insane.
edit: and let me clarify that the “misogyny and objectification” argument is stemming from JACK HARLOW’S VERSE. NOT jungkook’s parts. But jungkook is also receiving criticism for admitting he WILLINGLY picked this feature and allowed those lyrics on his song. Jungkook’s fanbase is 90% young women. to see him sending a message like this in his song is so disappointing. LET WOMEN FEEL RIGHTFULLY OFFENDED. AND LET THEM SPEAK UP.

Next... how was it interpreted like that? like... a lot of women were angry because they thought the guy "objectified" women. In his verse, where he talks about multiple women at the same time next to him, he calls himself "too boring", "dawn, that dude's horny" and "okay, now you're whoring", not the 4 possible women mentioned in the verses. Besides, people don't like the fact that he maybe has more than one woman, that is, as the song talks about sex, he talks about having sex with four at the same time, what's wrong with that? Like, people say it's objectification, but if it's really true that this happened, women themselves would be objectifying themselves, what woman would have group sex? Besides, if it was truly an objectification, he wouldn't say what he said in the last verse of the song before it ended. It's very simple, but because there are people who interpret everything literally before knowing how to properly read a rapper's composition, the song may now run the risk of receiving less streams than Seven. And I swear one thing, I swear if it was a woman saying the same things Jack said, no one would be talking about it. I understand why fans from other fan bases call us stupid 💀
It's mainly a "hater" who started this to try to sabotage his song and ppl are sheep's so they follow along without using there brains 🤷🏻♀️ or actually looking up words that they want to throw around words
Like multiple partners are okay as long as consented but armys are bringing their beliefs and conservatoship into this
Thank you for your reaction and for sharing Jose Ochoa's video. Huh, I don't watch a lot of social media (twitter. tiktok) so I didn't realise a lot of hate is going on. What for? Jungkook is an adult, as an artist he can decide what he wants to do with his music and this is obviously the sandbox he wants to play in. Wow, are some people really saying that he didn't know what he was singing? What an insult - the golden maknae is a pretty intelligent guy and he has a super team of creatives supporting him and every member of BTS. They will not let him just do something without knowing what it is like an idiot. Reality check - if you examine the lyrics of their songs from their early days, especially the rapline, you'll realise they haven't been backward with their allusions and wordplay. Besides, if one doesn't like the song, one moves on to find what one likes. There is even a version of the song edited by "Enjoy BTS More" to exclude Jack Harlow's rap, for those who like only JK's part.
I wouldn't use the word misogynist but there was objectification and sugar daddyness in harlow's lyrics.
I am a Jungkook fan. I am streaming 3D on YT and Spotify since its release. I am proud of Jungkook for breaking out of the baby-of-the-group image. 3D is an awesome song and Jungkook's vocals shine even more than Seven, especially in the post-chorus part of the song. Jungkook dance is confident and vocals chef's kiss 🤌. I am also glad to see JK collab and experiment with artists outside his usual circle.
I am grown up (& older than JK) so I found his sexual innuendos to be clever. I enjoyed that. I do not have a problem with either JK or even harlow talking about sex. But there are phrases in harlow's part that are lame, desperate and also change the context of the song. There is objectification and sugar daddy vibes.
1) "When I seen that body you would think it was a dead body. The way I told my boys come look" this paints an uncomfortable context of someone lifeless and harlow telling his boys to come look.
2) "I used to take girls up to Stony Brook
And steal they hearts like some crook" some bragging vibes about stealing hearts. Again I wish harlow talked about sex only. Rather than painting contexts that make him look bad. Steal they hearts like some crook. He thinks he is sounding cool doing it, but no. This is an old cliche of treating people like objects and playing with them.
3) The whole "one girl, two girl..." part is where harlow sinks the song. harlow can talk about sex all he wants but his contexts are a huge problem. And in this part Drew Kirsch did not help his case. He literally showed girls stacking behind harlow like objects on a shelf. All the girls in this rap part of harlow looked like lifeless girls who existed like objects standing in a line.
4) "I got you playing with yourself on camera" and "I just wanna meet you in the physical and see if you would touch me". These lyrics are simply so lame. They sound like written by a desperate person online rather than a professional songwriter.
5) "And as for thots". Thots is the new slang for sluts. It is used in an offensive way.
Other than these, the whole ABGs line as well. Like there are enough problems with harlow's lyrics and he does disturb the vibe of the song that Jungkook had so beautifully created. Jungkook's parts were talking about sex but were not painting weird contexts. harlow did that bringing objectification, desperation and sugar daddyness in the song.
I am glad Jungkook/Hybe were sensible enough to have an alternate version completely erasing harlow. The alt version is not changing a few words but literally just rid of the root of the problem (i.e. harlow). I am proud of JK/Hybe for making that decision. I think with time, the alt version will get more plays. Thankfully dance practice video has that too, so any live performances should as well.
Jungkook you are doing amazing! Keep slaying with your vocals and dance moves! 🫶
Calling women thots is definitely misogynistic, it's just that misogyny is so normalized even some women will disregard it.
The root of the problem is not Harlow. Even if his rhymes were lame, and, some were, he is not a problem. The root of the problem is people trying to give an opinion on a man's career that they know absolutely nothing about and how he should do this and that and not say this or that. It's stupid. This is what he wanted to do, that is what he wanted to say, and, Harlow is who he wanted to work with. And we have to respect that. Period.
@@Aspirina500mg okay. Thanks for pointing that out.

I can understand the hate and honestly I don't like the song lyrics too but there is a lot of BTS songs who talks about other positive things but these people who complain probably don't support that either and always have negative things to say about BTS no matter what they do. Its so simple actually, if you don't like it, don't listen to it. BTS has seven members with different styles and messages. If you hate Jungkook style so much, and want something more meaningful, go support RM, Suga and Jhope. If you like something sweet and romantic there is V and Jimin. Many people say that there is ‘nothing like that’ in Jungkook's part but in reality he literally described everything that is meant by the word 'f*cking' 🥴😂🤌🏻
"Champagne confetti"
- veiled “c*m on the f*ce”/“drop not inside.” This phenomenon also means “golden shower”🙂 In context, the phrase means “I promise you champagne, confetti, and wild s*x with org**m”.
'Cause you know I get hot hearted
“hot hearted” is “a person who is sincerely and emotionally involved in everything he does,” which means that Jungkook does not leave his partner without a “final”; Can also be translated as “assertive” or “not the timid type”; Usually “warm hearted” is used, that is, “a kind and sympathetic person,” but here “hot” literally means “I am assertive not only in the way I conduct business, but also in the way I have s*x.”
Rain, rain, rain, you can't fake it
- the girl finished and well, it’s obvious and can’t be faked
You got me drinkin' that potion
“Potion” Here we mean sq**rt or c**n*ling*s, which is brought to org**m
“In motion in 3D”
‘3D’ - in real life (1D&2D is on the phone. many people think that 3D is on the phone)
Jungkook is an adult and all that. But if a person doesn’t like the style of such songs, that’s normal. I can't say anything about Jack's version because I have mixed feelings🫠. I understand that it's just a song🤌🏻, but I can't listen to his parts🙉.

@@bottomerenjaegerstfu youre a solo. you are literally commenting negative on all of these videos. just stream layover and leave other bts members alone
@@bottomerenjaegeroh you’re gonna cry when you find out about aboyt bdsm
@@bottomerenjaeger you also missed a lot of details. Jack is basically clowning himself in his verse, calling out his past womanizer habit and that he's different now. And in his last line he said to the girl he doesn't have to do anything with him if she doesn't like. So you missed the point where they talk about consent, in a world where many men don't understand it's concept.
Let him do what he want!!!
He is a grown ass man ok?
Not a child!
Stop telling him what he should do or not!!!
The lyrics are perfect as they are! Not a single comment from you will change that!!
Stop having him and criticizing him!!! He didn't do anything bad to you! On the contrary: He makes us laugh, works hard for us and loves us no matter where we come from and what we look like!!!
Jungkook is the most loving person I have ever met.
Let him live his life the way he wants!!!
It doesn't help if vou criticize him anyway. He does WHAT HE WANTS anyway!!! 😂

I'm sure JK went into this knowing there would be people who would have a problem with this song. However, he's going to do what he wants to do as an artist and as a grown a** man. Lol. From what I've seen, there are millions more who like/ love the song than those who don't and I'm sure he isn't phased by it. I'm actually happy about it a little bit because Army definitely needs a cleanse. Or, should I say, the fake Army. It's time that the fandom stops being so delulu and realize that BTS are all men that have been in relationships, probably sexual relationships; they're not ignorant to these things. This song is not at all misogynistic; it's about sex. Let's all make sure we know the meaning of these words before we throw them out in public for people to see and comment on.💜
I'm not saying it's the same thing at all but this kind of took me back to when Jin had a one and only scandal. Where in a live someone spotted a form of " protection" in his toiletry bag. The company released a statement saying it was a gift from a fan. Hello? It was when they had only debuted a couple years and the fans didn't think of them in that way. Jin was like 22 or 23 years old I believe. Yes the company was protecting their artist. Huge applause to them, even if I don't believe that it was a gift. I also want to add that if it wasn't a gift, I also have to applaud Jin for being wise and safe, not only for himself, but, his potential partner. People need to realize that they are grown and they've had sex. It's not hard to understand. And those who say jk didn't understand the lyrics.. okay yes there's a language barrier but I'm sure someone interpreted the lyrics from English to Korean so the man would be able to sing them. Sheesh. Not only are they calling him a child virgin, but now they're calling him stupid. It just pisses me off
Oh btw, I'm so sorry for the long rant
@@jazzyjamster25 It's fine and I completely agree! I mean, we saw Rm on live a few months back and he had a hickey on his neck and called it something else when someone in the chat pointed it out. I wasn't shocked at all; I just chuckled. I know they're celebrities and we all truly do love them and their artistry, but people have to remember that they're just like the rest of us--just human. They have to deal w/ the same stuff the rest of us do in our lives, which includes relationships. Jk is not the 15 yr old he was when they debuted. And, like you said, they're trying to make him out to be stupid when we all know that neither he, or the rest of the guys, are that. Army knows how hard they work and there's no way he would've went with this song w/o knowing what he was singing about. Did people forget about Seven that quickly? Lol. I was elated when he made those statements on Stationhead and it was exactly the reaction I expected him to have.
They can hate all they want at the end of the day they can't take away his talent. They hating because he's so successful and its disgusting that they doing this to someone so humble always making time for Army - hell he even has it tattooed on him, they finding every reason to drag him. This is the same person that took so much responsibility to aid in BTS success at the young age of 15 - he's been the main vocalist, sub rapper, lead dancer and centre of BTS from debut - he was always going to shine but they still want little 15 yr old JK. You know what's most hypocritical is that they been sexualising and shipping him with other members since he was 15yr old now as a 26 yr old grown man they think his lyrics are too sexual - HYPROCRITES !!!
People need to learn the term misogyny before using the word.
