@@meimphisto Vlandian Sharpshooter are the best non-noble ranged unit in the game imo. All their units are alright, except for the pikemen which are probably the worst tier 5 unit in the game by far and they heavily influenced this tournament's results.

I think the Empire has the best unit pool overall. The Khuzait might have Khan’s guard and the Battanians their Fians, but the rest of their roster is just inferior to empire counterparts. Do you agree or you think another faction takes the top spot?
@@radeksilar543 Yeah but think about their worst troops. Vlandia have pikeman, the worst shock infantry, and sharpshooters, a bottom 3 archer unit. Sturgia have their horrific archers and useless horse raiders (they're ok when controlled by a player but the AI can't use them). Battania are terrible in the hands of the AI outside of the Fians and falxman. An army of only fians and falxman would be great. But they have the worst infantry in the game, for the ai. Plus their terrible cav unit. The empire and aserai are the only factions without a true dud unit, and the empire's best beats the aserai's best.

But It honestly sucks way more that every lord other than yourself is basically incapable of fielding a high level army. It’s not that they don’t have the money, but that they don’t engage in enough fights to earn XP. Fighting a top tier Empire Lord using only the most basic troops with your own elite squad which you basically created out of thin air is immersion breaking.

Odd how the AI decided to push both Vlandia and Khuzait infantry into melee so soon instead of Skirmishing with their cavalry first. They guaranteed their own defeat. I guess AI reacts different vs AI?
120 regular t5 infantry (there were 80 sergeants, 80 heavy axeman and 40 pikemen and 40 heavy spearmen) 70 non-noble archers 30 foot shock troops 30 cavalry 30 horse archers (if faction have them) 50 noble troops It all should sum up to 300. Some troops like Battania don't have regular archers so they get a bit more infantry and and 10 more total cavalry (they get 35 horsemen and 35 mounted skirmisher). Khuzaits don't have foot shock troops so they got 10 more regular t5 horse archers, darkhans and heavy lancers. I've tried to bring it as close as what the AI actually recruits, which is infantry as the largest formation and so on. In the battle, the AI largely plays on its own, however I sometimes fix some stupid things it does, like not telling infantry to hold fire so a few dozen of them don't stand 10 meters from the battle not doing anything. The pikeman are probably the worst t5 unit out of every faction, but they are still in vlandia's roster so I have to use them as every t5 and t6 noble unit will be used.
I enjoyed the video but I would've loved to see a more comprehensive end screen. Showing the best and worst troop by K/D is nice but even just a screenshot of the vanilla end screen would've been cool.

Empire lacks with efective shock troops for melee/anticav. Menavlions are great, but Falxmans, Line breakers and Voulgiers are better.

How do you balance these? Are you just using x shock, x Archer, x cav etc?
