Friends! Thank you for your support. Very soon, I will go to the house underground with a friend to finally clean and dry the room. Don't forget to include subtitles! See you soon!
Hi Alex, just an idea for you maybe you put varnish on everything inside so hopefully it won't be as bad next time. I'm hoping that won't happen again.😊😊
I am so sorry this happened but I really have faith in your skills and expertise. You will turn this disaster into a Alex Wild triumph. We are looking forward to your renovations. Good luck and take care
I praise your can-do attitude, Alex. Can't let these things get you down when there's work to be done! Think about preventative measures for next time. Wood varnish, mini trenches to divert water, or even putting some sort of barrier around parts of the house to prevent inflow. You can even build a small trench/pipe under the house to help move water out in the event of future flooding. Lots of ideas! 😊
Unbelievable! My heart aches for you. You worked so hard to make a beautiful underground home. Trust you are able to restore it to its former beauty. I'll be watching.
Alex, my heart was breaking for you 💔 You did such hard work building your beautiful underground house, and then to find it close to being destroyed! You did a great job at cleaning that mess 👍🏼 You are truly incredible!❤️👍🏼
Hi Alex. I was at a loss for words to start with. Pretty much everyone has spoken my thoughts already. Your smile in the end calms the sadness. My heart is with you. We are all there for you in spirit! Keep on smiling Alex, ❤️🤗🌹✨
You were laughing, and I wanted to cry! I hope this doesn’t affect your foundation under the floor. You are such a good natured human being. I’m glad you will get everything cleaned up soon!
Oh my! I cannot believe how high the water got! When I saw the water mark on the door, I just cried for you. But you are a good, strong man and with a lot of cleaning soon your house will be back to the wonderful home you made.
I actually cried as I watched the devastation in the beginning, imagining how you must have felt seeing what happened to your pristine hard work! Wow Alex, you just got right to it & made a big difference already. As always, looking forward to more. Great seeing all the animals that came through on camera. 👍

Maybe a difficult thing to do, but perhaps you could try draining the surrounding area (digging a trench towards an area that is situated lower) so the water does not accumulate around the dugout?
Maybe the river has come up due to annual thaw. It's apparent now that even hundreds of meters or even KMs from the river that it rises and floods the forest annually and it will happen again. Even a water table rise in this friable sandy soil is going to flood the dugout it seems. I couldn't live with this. I'd have to dig another hole, reclaim the wood and start again further up.
@@ThePaulv12 Tough reality but only thing they can do really...I would deconstruct the dugout, find a well-drained spot, and rebuild with the same timbers...

Alex! You are amazing in so many ways and now we get to see your positive response to adversity and damage to your wonderfully built cabin! You are inspiring!
Oh, dear!! So sorry for your water troubles, Alex. You just walked in, evaluated the damage, came up with a game plan, rolled up your sleeves, and started working...with a smile on your face! 🙂 I'm sure you will come up with some clever ideas about how to prevent this from happening again in the future (if at all possible). My recollection is that you were running electricity in your underground home in the last video. You might want to try running a dehumidifier to pull the moisture out of the wood. We use one in our basement and it's amazing how well it dries out the humidity. Glad you didn't try to get the house all cleaned up during the 2 days you were there. That's a LOT of work. Please pace yourself and give your body proper rest. Take care and see you on your next video. 👍

Alex I'm glad you retained a sense of humour about that lovely disaster. just a tip, when it comes to cleaning a giant mess - its always easier to scrape the excess off the floor (as you did) and my approach would have been not to add water to the floor initially but shovel the mud out, light the fire as you have done and created the space for air circulation, and pull down all the fittings (curtains and so forth for washing), then start at the top and work your way down, all the walls, chair legs and bench tops and shove it all on teh floor, and then reshovel the stuff out. when the bulk of the mud was off the floor (and the crumbs) then i would have put the water on the floor to do the final wash. its much easier and saves time. Алёша!Терпение и труд все перетрут...Обидно,но не смертельно.Озеро бы спустить,чтобы влага уходила.Удачи!Хвост держать морковкой!❤
I did wonder about a ground water problem when you were building but I never thought there might be a flood.
"The horrorr" indeed! When I saw the message you sent about the flooding, I was just waiting to see to how bad. My goodness! 😳🥺😢
As usual, you got to business and did what needed to be done. I'm so happy I found your channel. I've learned a lot from watching you. I enjoy the resilience of other humans and it makes me proud to be human. As, no matter where we are from, or what we look like, we are all humans. And love and resilience are some of our best qualities.
Much love and respect sent to you and your friend who helped build this fantastic shelter!
I am so sorry....It was so beautiful
You're a strong man Alex Wild. My motorhome looked just like that after a flood. It can cause a lesser man to turn and walk away.
Well is time to build another one... cause that one is done
This bruised my soul...I'm confident you'll handle this with your usual calm and grace. Sending you good vibes, my friend❤
What? you didnt know there was a seasonal pond there? 3 feet of water was there, I smell mold. I dont think you can keep it, same thing will happen again. Also that floor needs to dry before u cover it up.
Oh NO. My ❤ goes out to you!!! But one thing you will get it all cleaned up and make it beautiful again!!! Was that from all the snow melting? Just curious. Thank you for sharing and sending prayers 🙏🏻
A stark reminder that we and Mother Nature are cohabitants, not masters of earth…..and she will reclaim. What is old is new again, and what is new will age. Change is the one thing that’s inevitable…… your response is Manly and heart warming. You weathered it with your usual common sense. Bravo ❤❤🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Alex, in my thoughts I support you in cleaning the house. Well done so far, and I hope the rest will get well also. Long live friends !
I feel so bad for you, but at the same time I appreciate how you show that although really bad things happen we must not get too upset. We have to overcome whatever obstacles get in our way. I'm looking forward to seeing your plans on how to keep this from happening in the future. I think we learn more from mistakes than we realize. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. Stay safe & healthy. God bless you & your family.
Great point!

Alex, You have an amazing spirit. In the time you cleaned up I would have still been kicking and crying.
Keep up the great work. I can watch your videos 24/7
I feel your pain watching this video. You have a lot of heart and patience. Loved watching you build this... so sorry this happened 😢
Time to build above ground Alex. You will never get the mold out of this house. It won’t be safe to stay there.
That's the joys of building underground and what you have to look forward too. It's best if you build out of the face of a hill side and above any stream or river bed.
Great job for cleaning your house. You are an example for us
So sorry to learn of the flooding of your beautiful underground house! I hope the damage is minimal and you can reclaim your wonderfully built house! Wish you all the best!
