rounders was invented in England which was brought to the colonies That changed into townball which was played in the large colonial/American cities like NY,Boston,Philadelphia .Baseball was codified from it's ancestors into the sport it is know today in early to mid 1800's. Baseball's distant evolutionary cousin was English rounders but the sports are vastly different now.
