We are a family of 7 and we like to bring our rather worn out/ getting too small summer clothes and accessories with us to then leave them behind without any regret and use the space for any new purchases. Kids grow out of things so fast, there is little chance that the clothes will fit them the next year anyway and it saves us a trip to the charity shop too so we just leave most of it in the hotel or villa. Of course bin anything that’s in a really bad condition. Another tip if you have a pre-travel day hotel is to wear your worst pair of underwear and socks and bin them the following morning so you’re not travelling to Orlando with dirty laundry in the bag :)
Love your white t shirts with patterns on. We split clothes like you and roll and use tubes. We check in 3 large cases and one roll on which we put all stuff needed for the pre stay hotel. We pack the day before we go but stop wearing things we know we want for the trip the week before. As we have a villa with an owners cupboard I leave the Disney clothes there.
I feel like we're packing late this year - but we did the "we don't need these summer clothes anymore so lets put them in the case" trick! We don't put airtags in our cases but we do attach them to the children. I'm looking forward to seeing how your non-apple ones work out.
We travel down at least 2x a year (live on east coast of US) and I have an Owner's Locker with a bunch stuff: toiletries, sunscreen, ziplock bags, cooling towels, popcorn bucket, white noise machine, usb wall plugs and electronics cords, water bottles, misting fans, binder clips (cheaper than bag clips), a couple of loungefly bags, pop up laundry baskets to name a few. This allows us to travel with carry on bags since I'd have to pay to check a bag.
Great vlog, love packing (and organizing) videos. We’ve used air tags for several years and it really helps with travel anxiety. Knowing the case has made it on the plane or the cruise ship makes me feel better. We also take two cases each because I know we’re coming home with more than we went with. When we travel to England, I pack a small roll of bubble wrap (had it from a move) so I can wrap any breakables we might get. I know I can use clothes but I feel better this way.
Fab video, we are also in the process of getting everything ready for packing! We may see you there! We are doing a click and collect at the airport after security for all our toiletries/suncream. We are all taking a personal bag and then a cabin size case which I’ll be putting our shorts, hats etc in for when we land. Our bits from boots are going in there
We always try to travel light as most hotels have laundry facilities so we both have a medium size case and then put the medium case inside a large case so that we have plenty of room for all the outlet shopping we do. We then come home with 4 cases.
Great video, got me excited as we’re going 3 weeks today 🎉!! And you reminded me about the spare ziplock bags and clips, thank you 😊. We haven’t been since Feb 2020 so we can’t wait!! I’ve been in prep mode for the past 6 weeks! I keep lists on the Notes app so can easy check them when out and about. Been collecting miscellaneous stuff and putting in a drawer. Think I’ve got everything now and will start to pack. I work part time so have more time at the moment. Clothes have been checked and put aside. I’m a fan of white T-shirts too Lisa. I’m really fussy about toiletries and always take everything I need! My favourite shoes for walking in hot weather are mountain warehouse sandals, my feet get too hot in trainers so I’ve got a few colours and they do the job. I used to be able to manage in flimsy sandals but now in late 40s and it’s comfort over fashion! What ever it takes to make it all day 😂. We’re staying in All Stars Movies, do you know if you can request a kettle for the room? I want to take teabags to make a cuppa. Also which weather forecast do you use? Thanks both
You sound so organised 😊 I was the same with flip flops !! Yes, we’ve always asked for a kettle & always had one delivered. Need our tea too 😂 Say ‘hi’ if you see us out there xx have a great time ❤️
@@AdeandLisa ah brilliant, thanks for letting me know 😀. Yes absolutely, we will keep a look out for you, it would be great to see you there! Hope the rest of packing goes smoothly xx
How exciting, I'm really looking forward to following your Disney Vlogs. Never used an AirTag but I know my friend's daughter had one on her car keys and left her keys in a taxi and was able to locate them and get them back, such a great idea.
We bought 4 Apple AirTags for the cases we check in and as they are small I put them in a reasonably large envelope as you know where they are. We have only had one case go missing years ago but a friends case went missing for half of a cruise.
Air Tags are the best! Used them for the first time last Boxing Day to MCO - flight was cancelled from LA due to the storms and one bag went to Chicago and the other went to Denver.. MCO was choas when we arrived, a sea of bags everywhere, some labels were for people who had obviously already started their Disney Cruise without their bags! We were able to locate and retrieve one bag at MCO and the other which ended up in Tampa which was kindly sent on to us because we were able to tell them it was there. I'll never travel without them again.. We were flying from Australia and spent an uncomfortable day with the bare minimum :/ No changes of clothes, no toiletries, just the airplane baggy so like Ade, I also take a few toiletry items in my cabin bag now too.
Loved this packing. It’s made me want to come too lol. I’ve always been a larger lady and for many years i worried that I may not get clothes in my size abroad. So in case I lost my luggage I’ve always taken my swim suit in my hand luggage. People think I’m mad but if my suitcase doesn’t arrive with me, I have the outfit and shoes I travelled in and my swimsuit. What more do you actually need lol. Covers all events 🤣🤣🤣. Never been caught out yet and have had a couple of suitcases turn up late xxx
Yes please let us know if those AirTags work because I heard that they are excellent to find things within near approximately but when something is further away than a kilometer they don’t work!
You are lucky with your luggage. When I used to travel a lot I went 6 time in a row with my suitcase not making my flight! Cannot reiterate enough. Travel with a change of clothes and immediate toiletries you need in your hand luggage.
@@AdeandLisa We’re a 50/50 couple. Mine is in cubes and my partners has gone conventional. The tip for the 1st couple of night clothes was something we have both done - will just mention that 1st night in the US is in the Darwin (which I got from you).
Ps I’m really prone to mosquito bites some places - but haven’t got bitten in Disney. Apparently they take huge efforts to get rid of mosquitos - do you mainly get bitten outside Disney itself?
No, I've still had massive problems with bites in Disney. Watching fireworks is usually the worst for me. Stood around the greenery in Epcot or top of Main Street. I think Fort Wilderness was my worst ever mozzie attack. It was 2017 and I still remember it well LOL

I swear by crocs they might not look great but they are so comfy and so versatile for water parks for rain storms and water rides xx

Attaching to the kids 😂😂😂
The tags were great x

We always buy our toiletries here and we usually pack the weekend before we fly, I have a very detailed list so I don’t forget anything.
We go at Christmas and new years every couple of years and we drive, I pack two weeks ahead we’re going for the first time without our children!

How bad are the insects in Aug/Sept? We’ve only been in the cooler months and never had an issue with bites
