I’ve made a few earrings after watching all of your videos and I’m getting better and better at it. I used UV resin as a final topcoat and I agree that the 2-part resin is better. It isn’t as thick as the UV resin, it has better coverage, and I think the final result is brighter. I’m going to switch to it all the time after I use up my UV resin. But, they still turned out pretty good. I wore a pair to work and a coworker asked me to make her a similar pair, which I did, and she loves them. She and another coworker have asked me to make some patriotic and Halloween earrings for them. I’m definitely switching to the 2-part resin for those. I really love the tissue paper flower earrings. They are so pretty! 👍

@themztr it is just a teflon sheet to protect my heat press, you should always use something over your project like a teflon sheet or parchment paper. Hope that helps.

So you can just use your cricketmini machine to heat the scrap paper and not have to use mod podge?

Yes you can, I use the circut heat press that is 12”. But you can use the mini.

How do you keep the resin from running off? I’ve been using uv resin on my hand painted earrings for 2 years with no problems. Epoxy would go everywhere ! 😮

I pour a small amount and love it around and add more if needed but not too much at a time. Hope that helps.

What else can be used if I don't have the heating iron and Teflon paper?

You make these without using any heat, you would just paint on the mod podge and put the paper or napkin on while it is wet. You can put mod podge on top if you aren’t going to use resin. Hope that helps.
