+Leon Bray If you remove the front valence the can will simply drop down after removing the 2 bolts. If the car in the video had the condenser mounted the procedure might have been a bit more involved.
Love it! After owning 3 1970 Cougars over the years this is a dream come true! All I can say is take my money! The only thing I don't like about it is the connections to the battery. Any ideas on how to connect the power and retain a cleaner look when we pop the hood?
Rather than connecting directly to the battery, you can connect the positive side to the starter solenoid (where your red + battery cable connects), and connect the ground wire to the chassis somewhere, like one of the bolts for the voltage regulator for example. You can also camouflage the wires a bit by wrapping them in black electrical tape like Darrell did. Another creative idea is to fish the wires through vacuum hoses, which hides them and keeps things looking pretty stock under the hood.
Not sure! The motors and wiring are straightforward, but the brackets that attach them to the car would likely need to be modified or remade to fit your application. Try getting in touch with the guy who makes these kits, here's his site: www.catheadlights.com/
mwredit Yes there are! Here ya go: www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/Search.aspx?searchTerms=10250%2c+10049&submit=true&type=OR We also have an installation video for that kit: th-cam.com/video/refSbBXV1ag/w-d-xo.html
Gotcha - in that case, try getting in touch with the guy who makes these kits, he may be able to custom fabricate something for you. Chances are the mounting brackets will be different. Website: www.catheadlights.com/
For the headlight switch, do I need to do anything to the vacuum ports?
You can just leave them open
What’s that rod that goes between headlights called

Can the kit be adapted for full sized Fords/Mercuries? I have an 69 XL?
It probably could! Mention the length of shaft needed and we will accommodate! The can is the same, just rod length differs.
How do you get the can out if you have a car with a/c. will it fit between the condensor and the support, or would it be better to remove the support

I have watched so many videos so many websites and I cannot find motors for 1978 Dodge Magnum headlight covers
Can anyone out there in the Mopar land lead me in the right way

Hey there, awesome kit! Could this work on a 1969 LTD?
Will this work on a 1977 Lincoln Continental with automatic headlights?

Ok Don what kind of credit can a person get for their old parts for this conversion?

The thing that sucks about my car is that I have two HL door vacuum actuators. No common lever between the two
We make a kit for the 67-8 as well... th-cam.com/video/refSbBXV1ag/w-d-xo.html
West Coast Classic Cougar I'm trying to get my 1968 pontiac grand prix lights electric instead of vacuum operated
