My T6.1 has the factory middle radio (8inch) with wireless apple carplay, I can’t live without it now! I didn’t know Waze had improved that much, I’ll give it a go 👍🏼
I have the upgraded California interior with improved insulation from factory. I don’t know how good it is compared to aftermarket but I’m really happy with the insulation as it is now.

The 9 inch Alpine Halo head-unit is the sweet spot - as you get a screen that's way bigger and better than the stock unit while still looking OEM. I seriously concidered the 11 inch unit, but as it sat in front of the center vents and looked a bit too over the top in terms of size, I settled on the 9 inch which has the same key features but without the price hike for the bigger screen with increased resolution to offset its size.
Alpine Halo head units are the GOAT 💯 👍

Is the navigation working okay when I connect my iPhone to Apple car play it’s got me driving in a field instead of on M6 motorway can’t seem to fix it where did you locate your gps antenna in the van.

I really like the look of these head unit ,but is the screen removable as I would be worried about coming back to my van and finding my window and head unit missing. I have the discover media system in my t6.1 highline and I find it more than ample. But both of my pervious cars I spent 1500 pounds on after market head units pioneer and Kenwood. I can see the advantages of the bigger screen.

For your van it would be rude to keep the factory unit. Upgrade the speakers, deaden and insulate the front doors and you will notice a huge difference.
I was told by 3 different suppliers that it doesn’t happen anymore, it’s not like the 90’s.
To be honest it’s still a concern with mine. It isn’t easily removable, possible but it’s not designed for it.

Do you have this wired to your leisure battery? If so, is it easy to do?

I wired this as normal. My original intention was to have it on a switch so it could be moved over to the leisure battery when on site, but I’ve never got round the changing it.

@@StaycationLifestyle How quickly do you think it would drain the main battery if watching videos without the engine running?

I have a Tesla x6 head unit . It’s ok but I’d rather have the alpine system ❤
