and Today - 28/10/2023 ... they meet with another BYU QB as head coach at Texas; Sarkisian... not as good a team right now (byu) as they were then, but wish them well just the same - it'd be great to see that 4-1 record against Texas go to 5-1 :)
It's too bad Taysom got injured so often. I have to wonder how good Taysom Hill could have been in he would have been able to focus on his game rather than focus on healing himself every off season. The level of players on this teams seems so much higher than what we're seeing right now. I wish BYU could play like this. Taysom and Jamaal just brought fire to the whole team.
Hill should have been the greatest QB in BYU history, but he was just too fragile. Four season ending injuries in 5 years will do that to a guy. But he was absolutely fun to watch. Go Saints!
Agreed. I’ve always said that Taysom got hurt because he’d do ANYTHING in his power to win (even if it involved scrambling to make up for others deficiencies - no offense intended - not everyone has Taysom’s athleticism). Fragile, I don’t think so. Reckless, nearer the mark Determined and heedless, also close.
Man, the 2014 season was a tragedy. Christian Stewart was a fine QB, but if Taysom had stayed healthy we were a 1-loss team (we weren't beating Boise State that year even with Taysom).
BYU leads the series 4-1, and by an aggregate score of 166-68. On paper it definitely should not be so, but then again the games aren't played on paper.
I bet there are people at the University of Texas singing, “We don’t talk about Taysom, no, no, no.”
Had hill's 65 yard touchdown run not been called back for holding, hill would've had more than 340 yards rushing that day.
and now BYU is joining the Big 12. Sweet, sweet victory.

Hill is one of top ten games ever for a running qb against back to back home and home Texas.

and when we actually had a defense
Wyatt Evan's we still do. Our offense just takes to long to get into a rythm.
He would have stayed healthy if it wasn't for that crappy Utah State team.

I'm not sure I'd call him "fragile" as much as reckless. Your average QB tries to do half of what Taysom does and they'd have to retire from football.
@@cbphoto87 Exactly -- Fragile is NOT the right word :P

@@PegasusBYU He did get a season ending Lisfranc injury just running down the field, but yeah, fragile is probably not the right word.
@@howardsmith9342 I know, I was there.

And now BYU in The B12 and Texas movin' on...

Who would win: a pack of angry one ton horned beasts or some Mormon bois
Taysom near his peak in this game. BYU has been robbed of good QB play for the better part of a decade now. smh
Except this year lmao
Owned !
Watch this 4:35
So, Texas fumbling, dropping and missing tackle problems started way before Tom Herman.
The charlie strong time was a dark dark era 🤕
Wasn't holding on BYU. Bullshit call.

Charlie strong wa the worst coaches in Texas History
Dylan Haines was a joke. Made UT look like a joke. But a good question is why was he even on the field? Answer: Charlie Strong. Horrible coach.
Charlie is not horrible
