  • These boards are designed by Stuart Pittaway, there are currently 2 versions of the board being tested, this one is designed to allow mounting on the stud of the battery without worrying about whether it is positive or negative end of the battery, this is why you see a positive and negative stud for connecting to the battery, the other early version has the main M12 mounting hole as the negative terminal and has only a 3mm terminal back to the positive of the battery.

Hi Ross really love the design of your system. I want to source the BMS’s you have used and would like to communicate further. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Ross, I am not sure to understand why you have 2 BMS system ? the DIYBMS (round pcb) + the tower? Am I right ? I would like to understand which one is balancing the cells, the tower ? The round pcb are just for controlling the cells maybe ? Thanks for your answer

Hi Quentin, I have since changed things, I have done away with the BMS tower and now running with the round BMS boards along with an upgraded controller for the round BMS boards from Stuart Pittaway, I have also installed a "TOP BMS" ( similar to a Daly BMS) that has Bluetooth, this allows me to disconnect on the negative side of the battery if there is a problem that might popup

    Got a wiring diagram?
How do the large nuts actually connect electrically to the bms?

They do not electrically connect at all, the boards have a positive and negative terminal for connection to the battery

      community.openenergymonitor.org/t/re-diybms-for-lithium-titanate-battery-cells-lto/16310.
there is 3 files together, only use the first two,
      ModuleV421_Round_bom_jlc.csv (882 Bytes)
      ModuleV421_Round_cpl_jlc.csv (1.9 KB)
then a few post below take the gerber zip file (65.9 KB)that has the 12.5mm hole centre, the gerber that is listed with the 3 files has a larger hole centre which is too large
Here is another link if that doesn't work
