I just bought a plugin from waves & they gave me a free plugin. I chose this one for my vocals. I have this timbre in my voice at certain frequencies that I like to cut. The problem is I don't have enough bands. I was using the Voxengo GEQ. They have several bands, but nowhere near 30. I tried to cut the bad frequencies with that plugin. It works, except it makes the vocal sound dull. I just tried this one & WOW!!! I'm so impressed!!! I was able to get the absolute frequencies & cut them. I even tried cutting them all the way & it doesn't make them sound dull. I wouldn't keep any frequency all the way down though. It was just a test. I took some of the high mids down & my vocals are already sounding a LOT better!!! I think everyone should have this plugin. It's like magic. When you want to find the exact frequencies to cut or boost, there's no EQ plugin that compares... at least in my experience.
Sorry if I’m late to this comment, but 30 bands are way too many for vocal work. Most classic albums were made with 4 bands. Your eq cannot ‘fix’ a poor recording, no matter how many bands. You’re just going to keep adjusting until the sun comes up, and drive yourself bananas. If 30 bands aren’t enough, and I think they’re too many, we must focus more on getting the sound right in the first place. Too much EQing will suck the life out of a vocal. EQ is there to balance things out, maybe even enhance them; they can’t add something that’s not there.

Try a dynamic eq

Smile eq is really best
Nope, he made the mix flat, if you look at the eq of the song going in it is a frowny face, he boosted the bass and highs to flatten it.
Deja vu.
