From the video, this 958 Cayenne Transfer Case didn't incorporate the center differential,
I remember the first gen cayenne transfer case having the center differential
    and two range speed.
Why did 958 remove the center differential ?

they removed the low range gear, technically I think the transfer case is the center differential. The reason they removed the low range gear is because no one needed it in the parking lot of Whole Foods, which is how most all cayennes are driven. So they got rid of it to save weight.

@@SpectroRacingChannel Also new 8-spd trans. 1st gear is pretty much new low gear as Cayenne frequently starts from 2nd.

Haven't seen anyone point out the magnet that's inside the case. Is it in the lower end of the case where the fluid collects? What was the condition of the magnet?

I’m thinking about buying a 4.5 340 HP cayenne 2004 . Anything I should know about engine and the tranny ?

the auto trans sometimes get harsh 5-4 gear downshifts which can be fixed by installing a valve body. Revmax sells them. The 4.5 liter naturslly aspirated engines sometimes have bore scoring especially in cold climates. The 4.5L turbo motors are bullet proof but you'll want to rebuild the AOS by replacing the rubber diapraghm, otherwise the driver side intercooler will collect oil which ultimately drips out.

Fantastic video! I will replicate. What part numbers did you purchase?

thank you! the part numbers vary by vehicle so email the sales team at awd.tech your VIN and they will give you exact parts. But I did the chain, clutch pack, and then some miscellaneous hardware like the shaft seals.

What are the part numbers? Is it 1" or 1.25" chain?
