God dammit that's what I've thought! This impeccable human being can surely make a loooooong story out of anything! I've been waiting for Connor to say in the end - AND THAT, KIDS IS HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
Hey man, sorry for all that mess. It’s run of bad luck. I’ve had times like that too. Good on you for fessing up to the bad times. Keep the great videos coming. I enjoy them a lot. Your place will be looking great again soon!
I’d like to see another video that shows just how many projects you’ve started but haven’t finished. My wife seems to think I’m the only one who doesn’t finish projects. Of course if I show her this video she’ll say I wasted 18 minutes watching this instead of installing another door knob.
New subscriber here. Very informative and entertaining channel. Connor intuitively knows to edit different shots/perspectives when telling a story, which makes it more interesting to watch. Nice job!
One reason I like to watch this channel is because of how you keep it real. Life does happen and you have a great attitude. You did the best you could and of course it was one thing after another. Dont blame yea but hang in there!
Probably one of your best videos to date... Was it your birthday live stream where you said... "this channel was meant to be about what I get up to in life and just happened to become a lawn channel because that's what I like doing, but I plan on bringing you more content from day to day life" THIS IS IT!! this is so relatable, it's not leeches and cream, we all strive for peaches and cream and we all fall short at times but what's better than having somebody to inspire us is somebody to comfort and reassure us that its same for all of us... What a well edited video too, very quick, sharp, professional and fun... it's not doom and gloom coronavirus news its normality depicted in a specific and vivid way... I'm relatively new to subscribing to people, but this is one of if not the best I follow now... it's like checking in on a mate, watching him play golf, take the kids to the jeti dips... it's as "addictive" as watching old school soap TV, I genuinely want to see what's happening in the main characters life... this channel and Connor in particular demonstrate what youtube can be...
Hilarious story Connor, we have all been there. You know there is an easy solution, move south. The other thing you might consider is a fence or line of shrubs to keep the snow from blowing on to the driveway.
Omg I thought living in the mountains would awesome in winter but I think having 10 feet of snow seems to like a little bit too much work. This quanetee thing feels almost feels like what a snowy winter in the south would be like.
Lesson from a machine operator 🇦🇺 next time u get stuck put the bucket in the dump position lower the arms down to the ground and push the machine back with the bucket crowding back to normal position while reversing
Thank you Connor for the video. Most of the time is good to spend the money and get the tool you need and hire the professionals to get the job done. Good lesson learned!
Connor you had me imagining a real fit :) You are so laid back that even your fits of rage are calm. I would have been replacing the house if it were me :) Thanks for sharing and keeping it real.
Can’t believe I missed this video. Man, when you said I am going to go get the jack, my first thought was you were going to say F it and go drink. Lol.
This was hilarious! I could picture it all in my head as you described and had pictures. What camera system is that on your house? It’s great quality. Thanks for sharing, it was a good laugh.
You are an absolute maniac Mr Ward 😂. Think twice the next time before you go to the rental shop! (Really appreciate your content and how determined you are with projects!)
Great video. You're right not to many videos out there that are just like what you said real life. Everything is not roses (Dahlias in your case) in real life. Great work on the shed!
Loved the spontaneous reasoning that led one event to the next . Looking forward to this winters snow removal . Any new plans ? What did it cost to rent the skidsteer ? And I'm sure no Voles were injured . Kappa
16:42 Thank you for acknowledging that! ❤️ I don't Facebook, tweet, insta.... nothing. Real life is not the "highlight reel" people put out on display. So many people try to live up to that projection and it's not obtainable because real life has highs and lows. It's what builds real character. Stay as classy as your 'stache 😎
I have that exact same single stage blower.... Mine is going to the trash in a few weeks. Handle has been replaced with a nicely bent piece of 3/4" EMT, rubber scrapers are torn up and the plastic side plates are worn through.!!
As always, thank you for keeping it real! It does help to see that not everything goes perfectly as planned. Then i start a project and yes it may turn out great, but all the issues i run into getting to the end. I'm always thinking how does everything go so smoothly for those guys! #KeepUpTheBestHowToChannel
Glad to see others have days like this. Like the time I ran a sprinkler wire about 300 feet across my lawn then realized I cut a wire for another zone somewhere in that 300 feet so I went back and dug it all back up. It was about 98 degrees and finished at 11pm..............
Stars definitely weren't aligned for you that day. But good for you for keeping a good attitude about all of it. It's easy to lose sight that in the end things like this are just the way it goes sometimes and we just have to work through it. Proud of you Connor! Keep up keepin up!
Nice video. Classic case of hind sight is 20/20. Thanks for sharing the thing's that don't go according to planned as well, we are all Human. Looking forward to the next one.
Love it man! I’m the same way. Time seems to get away from ya with several projects going on. I don’t know about you but I seem to start one and something else pops into my head and then I’m working on 7 things at once. Not enough hours in the day!
Hey Conner just happen to see a video from 8 months ago when you using the riding reel master. Make sure that back tire is aired up because if it's riding low it will leave a bigger indent in the grass. Aired up not as bad. Love your lawn!!
Oh I'm guilty of this sort of destruction from time to time too... And it ALWAYS starts with something I need being broken. If I can't fix it for whatever reason I start getting hasty and reckless!
Thank you for reminding me why I moved to South Carolina- just put a snow shovel in back of truck and drove ‘til someone asked “what kind of shovel is that?” Home at last 😃
Maybe the snow was too deep but I'm trying to figure out the bottle jack. You have a bucket and hydraulics. Typically you can just lift the front end of the skid steer by lifting the bucket and tiltilting it straight down. Then use the bucket lift against the ground. Back in the day when they had tires an not tracks that's how you could lift front end to change a tire.
hahah, iv done that too. I used a nut and bolt then hit a chunk of asphalt cost me a good chunk of change when the shear pins would have just snapped. now I use a (stronger than shear pin) but soft metal bolt that still snaps but can take a good hit!!
The number of things that would have been non-starters had you just had a working snow blower is a testimonial on keeping the equipment running and in good shape *before* you need it. Thanks for the comedy of errors, Connor. Something you gotta look back on and laugh.
I also got a skid steer stuck in my back yard after doin a reno on my front yard, before fall, in the mud for probably 3 hours, jacking up and putting boards under, I KNOW your pain brother
Un-Real Story! But, I have had those days for sure. I like the show everything vid route. It brings your viewers more into your REAL life (No Hiding the Bad). Great Vid Connor and very well edited. Chad Upstate NY
Some times I think getting snow would be good... but I think I’ll take the hot weather any day. It gets to about 45°c / 113f here frequently here during summer.
After watching this it seems to me that it would have been cheaper to spend the money on the replacement snow blower part in the first place then the hiring of the skid steer, having to fix all the damage and the ruts not including the time it will take to fix all that. Been there brother... Feel your pain. Love the videos... Greetings from Ireland
Long story short. I used to own a $1000.00 2” ratchet strap. Great story Conner. My wife wished she could get me to do half the stuff you do a home. 👍🏻
Great looking yard . You need to look into a Ventrac machine every tool you have for your lawn there’s a attachment for and it does snow as well with a blower or even a plow. Look into it . Keep up the great videos
Sorry you had a bad time with all this. Yes your right in the big scheme of things this is not bad and it is all fixable. Thanks for sharing I was kinda thinking we may have never heard this story because the two prior vids you only talked about it a little.
Toro powermax 928. $1400. I've seen vids of it lopping wet slop 40 feet. Blows 12-18" of snow like nothing. You do get a lot of snow so that might be worth investing in next winter.
A tree service just tore up my backyard with a skid steer a few weeks ago. The ruts were a foot deep. In addition to the lawn damage I also had to repair some buried drainage pipe that was damaged. #reallife
Suggestions on self propelled mower? I’m not up to a reel mower given we have 3 dogs ., just need a solid self propelled ... thoughts? Suburbs . Just shy 1/2 acre
Hello, I have seen your videos and your yard is very beautiful, where can I buy the Kentucky bluegrass seed, I live in Denver Colorado, can you help thanks
The problem seems to be those damn Cottonwood trees again, if they were never there, you would have never had to cut them down. If you didn't cut them down, the logs wouldn't be lying on your porch. If they were not on the porch, the skid steer wouldn't have gotten stuck. That was the root of the frustration. Stupid Cottonwood trees!!
True. I was thinking it came down to as simple as forgetting to pick up the ratchet strap before it got covered in snow. If that hadn’t been there the snow blower wouldn’t have broke.
There’s no such thing as perfect we all have those days! We just keep it moving until it’s back to our idea of “perfection” Thanks for keeping it reels 😂😷😂
Connor - what a story. Although maybe just leave the patio as it was with all the stuff on it - and let the sunshine and heat melt it away naturally. Think of all the time and effort saved. Looking forward to a great lawn season this year - don't beat yourself up.
I don't about other handymen but I've got a few of these stories. Some how mine seem to involve whacking my cranium multiple times when working in tight spaces.
can you imagine the rambling stories of grandpa connor in his old age? his future grandkids are in for a treat
God dammit that's what I've thought! This impeccable human being can surely make a loooooong story out of anything! I've been waiting for Connor to say in the end - AND THAT, KIDS IS HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
That's not all peaches and cream, folks!🤣🤣🤣
Thanks, Connor! It's why I like your channel - hard work and honesty.
Sorry to hear about that day. I hope that spring treats you better 🙂

Lol. Yeah I really should do that video 📹
rijosho lmao
He will start it and not finish it... Lol
Aren’t they all the same..sounds like my wife and I live in Germany 😂
Life is a project. Don't be in a hurry to finish it.
New subscriber here. Very informative and entertaining channel. Connor intuitively knows to edit different shots/perspectives when telling a story, which makes it more interesting to watch. Nice job!
Thank you for being vulnerable. We have all been there
One reason I like to watch this channel is because of how you keep it real. Life does happen and you have a great attitude. You did the best you could and of course it was one thing after another. Dont blame yea but hang in there!
Buying a brand new snow blower seems like the right choice in that situation. #hindsight
Lol. Yeah now looking back
As they say, "Hindsight's always 20-20".
Until he hit a log and bust the new snowblower. That'd be my luck..
Probably one of your best videos to date...

Appreciate you showing what really happened. Makes me want to come
back and keep watching more! 🔥
Seems a lot like a "how to" channel to me....I am hearing LIES from you like usual. This however, is a FANTASTIC story
Yeah this guy is fake news he definitely shows us how to and sometimes how not to
Pretty sure this is a how not to story
Omg I thought living in the mountains would awesome in winter but I think having 10 feet of snow seems to like a little bit too much work. This quanetee thing feels almost feels like what a snowy winter in the south would be like.
Ryan, he is telling us how NOT to use a skid steer. Thats his moral to the story for this video.
Life always throws curve balls at us Bro. Ward, its what we do with it that makes us stronger! GET AFTER IT and all will be well.
Lesson from a machine operator 🇦🇺 next time u get stuck put the bucket in the dump position lower the arms down to the ground and push the machine back with the bucket crowding back to normal position while reversing
Yes....thought the same thing, forcing the bucket down to lift the undercarriage up off the block. He probably tried that, maybe snow was too deep?🤔
One of the best videos you have had! Came at your expense but what a story! Great edits! Made me laugh sounds like me when I get into a project!
This is real life. Thank you for sharing this very relatable story.
Agree buddy, the Lawn doesn’t always look good and there is more work than we can ever get done. Gotta show the process 👍🏼
Can’t believe I missed this video. Man, when you said I am going to go get the jack, my first thought was you were going to say F it and go drink. Lol.
Awesome. Love the realism.
Thanks for showing us how my life goes pretty much everyday instead of the illusion that everything goes perfect all of the time
Aww man, I know exactly how that feels. I know you'll get everything dealt with. I am glad you show us things like this.
This was hilarious! I could picture it all in my head as you described and had pictures. What camera system is that on your house? It’s great quality. Thanks for sharing, it was a good laugh.
You are an absolute maniac Mr Ward 😂. Think twice the next time before you go to the rental shop! (Really appreciate your content and how determined you are with projects!)
hmmm, How much was it to rent a snow blower?
Certainly much less
You’re not alone sir! A constant S show here too. Lol!!! Family first!
Sometimes I like to come back to this when I "think" im having a rough day. Thanks Mr. Ward.
Great video. You're right not to many videos out there that are just like what you said real life. Everything is not roses (Dahlias in your case) in real life. Great work on the shed!

Wow! Thanks for sharing . My anxiety was high the entire time. I’m sure everything will back to normal sooner than later.
I have that exact same single stage blower.... Mine is going to the trash in a few weeks. Handle has been replaced with a nicely bent piece of 3/4" EMT, rubber scrapers are torn up and the plastic side plates are worn through.!!
Ironically, Ryan posted a video of himself having an amazing day in the lawn !! Striping like a boss
this is true
I think we can all relate in our own way, we all have our moments.. Enjoyed the story, thanks for sharing.
It is nice to see a real world scenario. Thanks for sharing the story.
You Sir, are a beast, a machine and a relentless individual. A REBEL indeed! Stay safe out there.
Glad to see others have days like this. Like the time I ran a sprinkler wire about 300 feet across my lawn then realized I cut a wire for another zone somewhere in that 300 feet so I went back and dug it all back up. It was about 98 degrees and finished at 11pm..............
Good video...very good job on the editing. Thanks for sharing
You break more than you fix, 2 steps forward 8 steps backwards. Love your channel for the information and the comedy relief.
For better for worse, thank you for sharing this with us Connor,
Stars definitely weren't aligned for you that day. But good for you for keeping a good attitude about all of it. It's easy to lose sight that in the end things like this are just the way it goes sometimes and we just have to work through it. Proud of you Connor! Keep up keepin up!
Great video. Real content
Most of us have probably tried to save a dollar and ended up costing ourselves 10 times that. Thanks for sharing your foibles with us.
Nice video. Classic case of hind sight is 20/20. Thanks for sharing the thing's that don't go according to planned as well, we are all Human. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for keeping it real Connor. Always look forward to your content.
😂 your the best dude!!! So funny without even trying man!! Should’ve just bought a new blower straight up💯. 🤦♂️😂
Omg 1:02 min in and I'm already falling asleep. hahahahaha, your awesome Connor
Love it man! I’m the same way. Time seems to get away from ya with several projects going on. I don’t know about you but I seem to start one and something else pops into my head and then I’m working on 7 things at once. Not enough hours in the day!
Yes... This is exactly it. Or I get bored with one
This video makes me laugh every time I watch it just because I’ve been in that situation so many times haha
Hey Conner just happen to see a video from 8 months ago when you using the riding reel master. Make sure that back tire is aired up because if it's riding low it will leave a bigger indent in the grass. Aired up not as bad. Love your lawn!!

Like Sands Through the Hourglass, these are the Days of Our Lives.
14:09 I felt this in my soul, thanks for shining light into the joys of property ownership 🤣

Look at the bright side. With the ruts you put in the lawn with the skid-steer you can hardly see where the bicycle and cows went through the lawn.
Hahahaha, great video man. Sorry about all the crap that happened but I appreciate seeing the dark side of things, which is rare online. Thanks again.
This is how you turn a $250 problem into a $2500 problem. Some days are better than others. Better days are ahead brother.
hahah, iv done that too. I used a nut and bolt then hit a chunk of asphalt cost me a good chunk of change when the shear pins would have just snapped. now I use a (stronger than shear pin) but soft metal bolt that still snaps but can take a good hit!!
I came for the story, but I stayed for the t-shirt.
Don't be too hard on your self you call your the LAWN REBEL 😎
The number of things that would have been non-starters had you just had a working snow blower is a testimonial on keeping the equipment running and in good shape *before* you need it. Thanks for the comedy of errors, Connor. Something you gotta look back on and laugh.
This man is a national treasure and he should be treated and protected as such.
Transparency. You’re a good man Connor Ward.
As we say in the South, "Bless your heart."
I also got a skid steer stuck in my back yard after doin a reno on my front yard, before fall, in the mud for probably 3 hours, jacking up and putting boards under, I KNOW your pain brother

lol....holy cow. we've all had situations like this, conner. thanks a bunch for being human..lol
The money you used to rent the skid steer would have bought a nice snowblower.
jbright97 I was thinking the same thing!
It happens. The trick for me to make sure the outside is clean in October before the snow. It's a pain but after damaging a snow blower, it's worth it
This was great! It was like a cross between Inception and Deadpool.
Tell us more about pounding on the shaft...
HOLY OCD!!
Your yard is like a curly mullet: All business up front, chaos outback!
Two words for blowing snow: SNOW FENCE
Had no idea a snow fence was a thing!
Wow man what a story! All of that must of been frustrating what a though winter 🥶
Long story short. I used to own a $1000.00 2” ratchet strap. Great story Conner. My wife wished she could get me to do half the stuff you do a home. 👍🏻
Ha ha.. Yes... That's one expensive ratchet strap
This is like that episode of Malcom in the Middle where Hal starts the day trying to fix the light bulb.
Great story telling. Sounds like a triple whammy. Sorry you had to go through all of that!
Haste makes waste! Looking back, it would’ve been funny to watch you do this! I’m surprised the f the skid steer didn’t royally screw up those pavers.
Yes. I tried to hold the blade up. I had this explained in the video but it didn't make the cut. Video was too long and I had to cut
I like seeing the bad, because then you can appreciate how good it is when it looks nice!
Great looking yard . You need to look into a Ventrac machine every tool you have for your lawn there’s a attachment for and it does snow as well with a blower or even a plow. Look into it . Keep up the great videos

We all have bad days from time to time. All that is repairable but not sure about the grill lid you did a number on that. Bondo might work!😀😀
A tree service just tore up my backyard with a skid steer a few weeks ago. The ruts were a foot deep. In addition to the lawn damage I also had to repair some buried drainage pipe that was damaged. #reallife

True. I was thinking it came down to as simple as forgetting to pick up the ratchet strap before it got covered in snow. If that hadn’t been there the snow blower wouldn’t have broke.
@@natemoore3841 vut if the cottonwood wasn't there, he may have just shoveled 🤷♂️
You have a very good attitude.
Ok, I gotta ask.....why were you using a snow blower to get the snow off of your lawn? Or is that just a super long walkway at 0:26?
Thanks Dude! I thought that kind of stuff only happened to me.
There’s no such thing as perfect we all have those days! We just keep it moving until it’s back to our idea of “perfection” Thanks for keeping it reels 😂😷😂
Man i have totally been there. Feels like every time i try and skimp or take the easy way out i just make it worse and it takes more time
Connor - what a story.
Great story and all because of that dang snowblower. #realife.
