Cool 😎 q
I just made a request to join the group. My name is Jin, and I'm a 51-year-old advertising delivery worker who started playing the guitar for the first time in 20 years. Nice to meet you.
I’m the same way with my harmonica man
I don't know theory. I don't know what makes what sound good for whatever reason it does. My first guitar was 15 years ago; the strength and skills in my fingers out weighs my knowledge by far. I've memorized a blues scale that I was told in E; I go freestyle on the scale i know and have never had this much fun playing guitar. I also have no idea how to play an instrument with someone, so having a backtrack seems like it was made for me. Love it. Thank you!
Thanks man! That’s awesome to hear that you had fun playing along with this jam! An E Blues scale is often all you need as long has you playing with rhythm and feel! 🎸🎶🎶
I am in my senior years and very similar story. Have had a guitar since I was a teen - but never really "absorbed" it. Just a bunch or memorized riffs that were too easily forgotten. Then I stumbled on GMM - Guitar Mastery Method. Started with Master the Fretboard series - and made ALL the difference in the world to feel like I could move up/down the fretboard without stinking it up or losing it in the weeds. I actually found out the basics of "Keys" and why the A - D - E or Golden G/C/D works. Try it out. Worth the small investment for pure personal enjoyment. I've been a member now 3yrs +. No regrets, still on a fun learning curve. RickRobFL @ gmail
Blues and Rockabilly my friend.
You're like me, I'm left handed and I taught myself most of the stuff I know. I have a knack for watching someone do something on a guitar and being able to duplicate it anywhere on the neck myself.
Also practice your bar chords
Try this scale at the top of the neck E position:
(Fret and string positions) E0, E4, A2, A4, A5, A4, A2, E4, E0
( E 0 means an open e string )
I can't read music, I can barely read a tab, hell, i had to play and chunk that out on guitar like a 5 year old has to chunk out 3 syllable words. But this is a must for blues and rockabilly. Everything rhythm is going to mostly be formed, somehow, someway, around this scale.
It may be mixed up, it may be shuffled, it may be missing half the above mentioned positions, but it'll be around that scale .
When I first picked up a guitar I had a older friend who sat down every free chance we had and he would run through that with me because i told him I wanted to play like Chuck Berry. It may not be a 12 bar Chuck Berry chord, but its the full structure the chord is based around.
After this, I was able to pick up anything rock n roll, 50s, blues, Rockabilly, etc. With ease.
Forget theory Play along and learn monster fast
Exactly the same way my friend!
youtube getting too comfortable with these multiple ads
They are 😭
2 15 second ads is deplorable
Istg 😂
ya gonna get what ya pay for?
I just spent 20 mins in nirvana , soloing to this with the blues scale , using ur backing tracks I now understand and can apply licks , I think of it as a beautiful painting needing just a few more strokes to finish for a masterpiece, dude I love ur backing tracks , my fan base (aka my wife) says my playing has exponentially grown since I started using ur backing tracks, got all kinda theory lessons , but learning to how to express yourself with your guitar and discovering it’s voice is to me a spiritual moment that is moving
Hey, thanks man, that's awesome to hear! Glad the tracks are helping you really develop your skills and knowledge of Blues soloing! Keep up the hard work!
Yes just like praticing a language you get more vocabulary and fluentness
yeah I used to be like "ah fuck backing tracks or scales" but can't deny the results I"m getting
I've been learning the blues scales without using a backing track and I thought it was a bit boring listening to nothing but the guitar. Until now It feels amazing
Very nice 12 bar blues style track. definitely happy to spend some serious time with this one. good tempo as well. not too fast, not too slow. Love it!
you already know someone is having a great time playing to this
Thanks Stevin! Happy Jamming!
I love playing on that IV chord I give it a Clapton/ King feel quite nice track!!
duud this track is sick!!! the best r& blues backtrack in the you tube. Cant stop playing over it :d
everytime im playing this. I see my parents and they seems to enjoy every song that played and i feel happy because they remember every memories they had in past. And thanks for this because my parents are so happy to hear this
Learned how to improv blues over this track almost alone. Shits lit.
Thank Kate, that’s awesome, keep on jamming! enjoy!
This has really inspired me, got me playing out of my usual haunts. Thank you!
I love this track so much
Wow one of the best grooves I have heard. Proper jukehouse. Fantastic!!
Thanks Philharpo! Glad you like it! Make sure to check out all the other tracks on my channel! 🎸🎶🎶
I love it, its got a great Steven ray Vaughn sound.
Thanks Liam! That’s great! Make sure to check my other Blues Jams too 🎸🎶🎶
The Organ easing it's way around in the shadows is a nice touch
Thanks John! That’s great! I love a little bit of organ to fill out the background on a Blues 👌
This is a great backing track. I think it works very well with E minor pentatonic being played over it
Blues or minor scale work very well, the blues scale is just adding a little note into that same pentatonic scale :P
Well no shit
Try playing the notes from the dominant chords, E7, A7, B7, emphasizing the 3rds and 7ths. Mix major and minor thirds. That's how you get the real blues sound.
Another impressive trax... I enjoy AUsher every day

Im considering opening a ROCKABILLY/BLUES/TRADITIONAL ROCK N ROLL channel on TH-cam myself. I don't honestly know, nor want, to play anything else and I'm very good at it.
I feel like everything on TH-cam is wayyyy over explained. A novice player dosent understand theory, or anything like that.. they don't even know how to use the Ole snark tuner lol they just play severely out of tune unknowingly. They just wanna make noise that kinda sounds like what they wanna play. Then, they will progress, evolve, learn, and , succeed given time and effort.
Then theory, style, and longer scales can be learned
But if you don't understand the basic concept of the instrument, little stuff first, nothing extraordinary. Just enough to learn how to use your fingers, etc.. you won't ever be able to play it....
Should I be the Jesus of Rockabilly and teach my blessings to my peers.... hmmm
Perfect for practicing Major and Minor as well as Patterns! I also use it to practice PRIDE & JOY forms!
Awesome, thanks for your comment Art, have fun jamming with this one!
Absolutely lovely you can do a lot with this with this track a great intro to a number of arrangements super thanks.
Thanks David! Make sure to subscribe and check out all my other tracks! 🎶🎶
Thanks lets a novice feel like he knows how to play a guitar
this is a great track to write lyrics to thanks for posting
The walking/descending bassline from SRVs Pride And Joy works perfectly over this ! ( and it occurs to me I may have also posted that a year ago,LOL!)
I use this as my practice/warm up switching between major & minor pentatonic.
Nice track! Great job. Having some fun with my 3 string cigar box guitar. Normally tuned GDG, but have it tuned EBE. Fun stuff!
Brilliant! Love the idea of a Cigar Box Guitar!
@@ausher I had never even heard of cigar box guitars until fairly recently. Check out cbgitty.com. I built my CBG from a kit they sell. They have kits as well as all kinds of parts as well as being a great source of information. Thanks for your reply to my comment.
Really good backing track.
A nice shuffle to bring a smile to one's face when jamming along.
Thanks.😎
Glad you enjoy it & thanks for your comment!
@@ausher You're welcome. It's really clean playing (assuming that it's your playing) and is helping me get my chops together (very slowly). Still getting my head around the use of major / minor pentatonics in the same key when soloing.
Thanks again.
Great track, really helps with my practice👍🎸
Happy to help! Enjoy jamming!
Great. Thanks guys.
Thank you
Another great track to have fun with... thanks.
Thanks for Jamming!
Great to jam to! Thanks!
This actually sounds good as a blues minor or a major it really sounds good on both
Definitely :) I like to mix the 2 scales together over this style of track, crushing from the minor 3rd to the major 3rd sounds great!
Super zgranie
brilliant love this track i use it everyday man
That’s so great to hear! Enjoy!
I grabbed my acoustic and played along rather than doing for a solo LOL. This just made me hyped in a smooth way
Hi Rey! That's great, get hyped! Thanks for the comment!
Sweet
Very cool . I love to turn it up, p plug my Fender into the Cuba, and rock out
Thanks Andrew! Turn it up to 11 !
Very Nice Jam!
Thanks very much! Please Subscribe for updates on new tracks every week! 🎸🎶🎶
Great man great.
My learning has accelerated with backing tracks, so glad I found them. I've been through a ton of them but found this one in E really gets me in the zone. Love that I can easily switch from the E, 12 fret (2 dots on guitar make it easy to locate) to the bass E string with relative ease and mix them up. Can't wait until I can work the whole fret board, must be a good feeling.
No it feels like complete and utter shit
@@superdog797 Put guitar in bin. Take up gardening

Awesome! Thanks Luke!
Great Great Job! Thanks
That’s brilliant thanks Thom!
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
Never listened to a blues song other than on reels or shorts but this vid made me play like how that black wide dude plays
It really developed my feeling using the pentatonic scale! thank you very much! I felt like a real musician.
You're very welcome! Keep up the jamming!
next step: mixolydian scale + pentatonic!
@@WingmanSR I get along well with the pentatonic because its 5 shapes connect to each other across the entire fretboard.
Can I find several mixolydian shapes that connect without me leaving the specific TOM?
@@luisstifler1459 Yeah, you can think of it like adding more notes to the pentatonic scale. Myxolydian goes well with bluesey music.
@@WingmanSR help me with it plz
Really well done love it!
Great! Thanks John! 🎶
It's so great to have a jam that inspires me to wanna play again cuz I've been dormant for far too long
Nice man, great job! new sub
That’s great! Thanks for Subscribing 👍

First time playing with backing track! Any tips?
Just enjoy it ! and experiment with new ideas, it’s ok to make mistakes when your trying out new things!
@@ausher ok thanks! I’m getting better on the scales and getting the hang of it!
Mike Landau Strat in the picture... best Strat ever
Beautiful Guitar! 🎸
What scale do I solo with for this?
I’d start with the e minor pentatonic scale, hope this helps!
👍🎼🎶🎸💕😎
make me play like a pro serious
Brilliant! Keep on Jammin'!
Great track but blues sounds weird in a major tuning :D
Try Crushing from the minor3rd to the major 3rd , G-G# , it'll give you a lovely bluesy vibe :)
