Each day is a journey Through Life

Music is a language, I am speaking musically about a journey through each day. I don’t know what notes I will play, I work this out as I sing through my guitar. Some things are within our control where others are not. I picked up my guitar and began to play not knowing what will develop. When unexpected challenges confront us, it can be perceived as an error, or beyond our capabilities, perhaps not. Through past experiences, we learn to adapt to any circumstance, this is why practice is imperative, and while challenges are not to be feared or avoided. While on our journey the next choice or next musical note determines the overall picture of our daily lives, no matter how wrong the current situation may seem. A story unfolds that builds character that is unique to the individual, a standardised set of musical forms develops into a song filled with tensions and individual character. Those perceived wrong notes or errors are what gives music a depth into the very hearts and souls of humanity. To remove these has lost the language that makes music what it is. The most powerful side of love is shown when pain hits hard, through the choices we make about ourselves and from those around us. Music can be classified as organised sound, but much like processed food, without the substance is not necessarily good for our bodies and brains.
