jyp emphasizes the "half air half sound" so u sound more emotional when u sing. the problem is u cant connect ur notes properly when u sing like that so sometimes their artists' singing skills cant reach their full potential or sing too well

There is a difference between a hignote and a scream. SM’s artist could easily do what JYP singers do which is half air technique but there is no chance in hell JYP singers could properly execute SM’s vocals becaue it requires more than one technical skill.
SM vocalists always have breath support so they don't sound shaky or unstable when they sing, that's the biggest difference. And with that breath support, they can do other adlibs and high notes properly. you can notice how boa didn't sound weak or shaky (out of breath) in any way even when she sang randomly like that.

The thing with SM is that they bet all in the high notes and adlips, while JYP is more the stylish type, I usually prefer JYP because they know how to work well with more than just high notes and we all know, singing is not all about hitting hard but playing with...
thats called versatility and if you ever heard red velvet you wouldn't say SM rely heavy on adlibs and high notes( which is probably the hardest thing to do with your voice). tarzan's warcry is just an example. but i dont think you know what that is. and btw adlibs are the true testament to your vocal agility which is like you said "playing with your voice".

But to be honest nmixx vocals are the top tiers in JYP so it's more like nmixx and SM difference
