One of the best things about going to jail is experiencing hearty staff like Mr Samworth. There's always sunshine behind a period of dark clouds. Chin up.😊

As a teacher, I can’t fully imagine the prison experience but you bring it to life. What I can relate to is seeing the many resources and many hundreds of thousands of pounds spent on kids who, in the end fail the school and social work system - or rather it all fails them. Soul destroying.

I work in the health service and see people like this, always ready to complain whilst the salt of the earth little old lady sits quietly having a heart attack. Self privileged snow flakes who demand everything with a parent that is a scum bag. They were pushed out into this world by low life.

I served 30 years in uniform straight from the army, serving at the Scrubbs, Pentonville and Woodhill in Milton Keynes, Pre FreshStart.
I am currently writing a book on MY true prison experiences (not for the faint hearted), but feel it has to be done for my own sanity if nothing else. I completed my NEPO training at Strangeways before the riot, retiring under medical grounds three years early in 2015 due to a regular thing in the service, knackered knees.
I wish you the best of luck, brother, and great videos.👍🏻💂‍♂️🇬🇧🇺🇦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Sometimes, it's hard to find the right words, like yesterday and baby Peter Connolly's tragic case 😢 I'm going to read Sharon Shoesmith's book and hopefully, like you said, it gives us hope that the system has been tightened up to help stop horrendous cases like Peter's happening again 🙏

It’s funny that you brought Fred West into this story, I spent 10 months in Gloucester jail from the beginning of June 1994 to late March 1995 for a robbery I stupidly did when I was younger and, I was the hospital cleaner for quite a while and on the morning Fred West killed himself (so say), I was standing by my cell door and the senior officer of the hospital wing, he was a little old guy who had been in the system for many years, he was actually coming towards the end of his career but he was a very nice guy also, well anyway he came out of the office and he was almost literally jogging towards me and he said Steve, Fred West has just hung himself mate, and believe it or not, he had with a little smile on his face almost like a little smirk it was, and he just nodded his head and said, and I swear to anyone reading this comment, his exact words to me was, hung himself my ass, and then he just turned around and walked back into his office, the system killed Fred West so they would have a much better chance of convicting his wife Rose because, there was no way that the system was gonna allow her to get a not guilty verdict because the system knew full well, that she was just has guilty has he was and they were never gonna let her walk away from it, and that was the hospital wings senior officers reason for believing that he didn’t kill himself, and when you sit down and have a good think about it and knowing how the system does work sometimes, I honestly don’t think he’s that far off it myself because to be perfectly honest with you the system can very very corrupt at times and like I said it certainly does make sense unfortunately, and not all of us are gullible enough to believe that the system isn’t corrupt at times either.

Just my view buy I don't believe you, if you do you have no place working in a "Asylum" - it's not the dark ages mate - they are called hospitals - mental health units etc- as someone who was sentenced to 12 years aged 20 & sad to say got a few others as I was criminalised-ive also been im hospitals sectioned - acute wards Picu's etc- they are amazing people that work in health care - I wish you all the very best just saying my 2 cents
Keep up the good work Sam -can tell you was a fair officer & a man of yr word, most staff are only a few bad apples ( same as inmates or patiants) mean ignorant people treat everyone the same & not as individual people

      What planet are you on?
Maudsley attacked me with a Metal strip light in the Seg at Hull.
A more dangerous lprisoner l never met in 32 years in the Service.
We took him every year for 28.days to give Wakefield staff a break.
Never came back to Hull after this incident.

Hi Sam, I just stumbled across your channel. Interesting video. I'm a soon to be retired Correctional Manager (highest uniformed rank) with the Correctional Service of Canada. I work with convicted male offenders serving from 2 years to life. So, my rank runs the shift from the duty office, and we're in charge of the entire complex after hours when the Warden has gone for the day. I think that might be a Principal Officer in your service?

Hiya Sam, I'm just playing catch up with the uploads. It's been agesss (or as the Americans say "A minute") since I've seen uploads, I hope you're well, you look in tip top shape mate x
This is absolutely heartbreaking, and when I hear of cases like this, it makes my blood boil how evil can produce innocent children, when people like myself can't have children. There's a special place in hell for her, and he's waiting and boiling hot 😡😉💯x

Love the new logo, Sam. I have a question; are the prisoners permitted to read newspapers and magazines or are they edited or censored beforehand? Is there a library available for books and are there any particular books that are not permitted? Thanks for another great vid. Take care.
